Diminished Value question

My 2014 TL was rear-ended and had $16,000 in damages. The insurance company refused to total it so now I have a bad Carfax car.

Can anyone shed some light on how to find a legit diminished value appraiser? I have been looking for a few days but every one I've investigated has horrendous reviews in ripoff report, BBB, etc.

Thank you.

you will need an attorney to go after the other party insurance.
most insurance companies will refuse to pay... as it is not technically a law that they have to go by.. if you bring them to court, its a whole different ball game.

Diminished Value and Total Loss Claim Experts - Collision Claim Associates
they have a success rate of about 75%.

just so you know.. anything below $15,000 is not worth it as you will be spending more than half that amount of money just on a lawyer..

if it was me, id forget about it.. i had my share of taking a hit on diminished value on my 4g.. either lawyer up or forget about it.

From what I read is he got rear ended and wanted insurance to total it out. He does say anything about the person at fault's insurance no covering the repair. He's hoping to get it Totalled and assuming get a new car since he's stuck with a rebuilt title 2014 TL.

Much researching of diminished value appraisers, found most of them have bad reviews, am hiring The St. Lucie Appraisal Company which has a number of good reviews including on Angie's List and no bad ones that I could find anywhere. A bargain (I feel) at $225.00.

He won't have a rebuilt title. He would only have a rebuilt title IF they totaled it and he bought it back to have it repaired. It will be flagged by Carfax, however as having been in a major rear end collision. THAT'S his concern, which I would be concerned with as well.
