Did it! Bought 2012 TL SH-AWD 6 MT!
So i think i have a pretty good deal, but want my fellow TL drivers opinion, here are the details. Keep in mind, i'm going to be talking Canadian Pricing:
Current Car: CBP 2010 TL SH-AWD non/Tech pkg. Leased April 2010 (48mos, 24,000km/yr) put $2,000 down which gave me monthly payment of $675.00 taxes in. Residual $20,500. Current buyout as of today including taxes is $41,620. Current car has 42,000km.
Potential New Car: BWP, 2012 TL SH-AWD Tech. 6mt. New dealer will buyout my car. Zero out of pocket expense. No upfront cost. New 48 mos, 24,000km/year lease. Acura Loyalty lease rate of 1.65% (regular posted rate in canada is 3.9%) New monthly payment is $690.00 taxes in. Only money down will be first months lease payment.
What do you guys think?
I'm going to try real hard to get the Skirt pkg included for under $700/month taxes in.
I think this is a good deal, fellow canadians, your input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Not sure how the incentives work in Canada but I was contacted by my dealer recently to do a similar swap (2010/Tech for 2012/Tech). When they looked closer at my original deal my salesman told me to wait a month or two and they could get me in the same car for a LOWER payment due to greater incentives yet. Unless they can do that for you now I would wait as well. You are in the driver's seat. Make them meet YOUR terms!

Thanks Stew4HD. I actually have a question for you, your skirt pkg, does it not come with a rear skirt? I see your's has front, & sides, but nothing on the rear? Did you get the full pkg?

IMO, DO NOT get the rear portion of the aero kit. Get the front and side partws and then rear mudflaps instead. I do have the rear portion and it's.. uh-hem, ugly. Look up my pictures in the 2nd page of photo section. I have several pics of the rear. You will see the rear part and the comments about it. I don't like it but am stuck with it for now.

Thanks for the input. I understand what your saying, and your absolutley correct. If i do the math, i would have a lower monthly payment also if i were to buy another TL SH-AWD without Tech pkg. But i'm actually going into a car with the Tech pkg for only $15 more per month. So that's why i see the value in grabbing this deal. I would be gaining so much more, plus the 6 spd Manual.

My fellow Canadian
Good deal. I've got the same car in black (leased in March 2012 - Mississauga) and I pay ~$680 per month with no money down, tints included and a few more goodies. I didn't go for the aero kit though, but I agree with Stew4HD that the rear kit is just "hot-wheelish". Seems like you've got a similar deal, so sign the papers.
BTW, I heart my car. If only women can treat me like my baby does.

Did it! Bought 2012 TL SH-AWD 6mt!
So i pulled the trigger, it was a hard deal. I didn't quite get exactly as i stated in my previous thread. But I think i still did good. Here are the details:
Traded my 2010 TL SH-AWD non/Tech with 42,000km, for a White, 2012 SH-AWD 6MT. w/Tech pkg. I only paid $1,000 out of pocket as downpay. ANd my monthly payment increased by $25/month on a new 48 month lease.
I was trying to get it with zero down, but it wasn't happening. I figured the $1,000 will be a wash because i get 25 months free service also. Cant wait to pick it up!
The waiting is always hard!

At least in the U.S., the MT is very rare, and Acura is not allowing dealers to order it in OCT. So supply will be very tight for a couple of months...
While I appreciate Acura being one of the very few manufacturers to offer an MT in a large sedan, what's the point if customers effectively can't buy one due to non-existent allocation, and they limit colorways to black, white and silver?

i'm curious how much faster an MT car really is now because the new TL ha a 6 speed auto.. so the number of gears is the same...but the manual probably still shifts faster?
i know on some cars.. say like a Porsche with PDK, the "auto" is actually faster than the manual... you can't physically shift as fast as these new high tech automatics... although I'm kind of doubting the auto in the TL shifts as good or as fast as something like the PDK... BUT... it does have 6 gears now...
so is the new TL 6AT as fast or *almost* as fast as a 6MT?
congrats on teh purchase!! you will have a rare car!!

Acura2010....Congrats!! I did the exact same thing except I traded my 2009 TSX. I was able to get out of my TSX and get into my TL (2012) BWP, TECH but auto with a partial aero kit....I did the Front skirt, Side Skirts and the rear mud flaps (see my picture thread if you haven't seen it already).
I was able to get my 2012 TL with all accessories for 675$ a month taxes in (zero down and that in Canada too)....so I was quite happy at the time. I wish I would have waited to get the 25 month of free maintenance but oh well, I still feel I got an awsome deal as I was able to get out of my TSX and into the new TL for just a few dollars more a month and went from a I4 to a V6, non tech to a TECH and non AWD to a SH-AWD so it was a step in the right direction!
You will love your new TL although I am sure you are aware with some of the typical rattles Otherwise, a fantastic car...Can't wait to see the pics!

Did the dealer give you a VIN when you made the deal? Or is it trying to find one out of another dealer's inventory?

Do you mind if I ask who you dealt with at Acura of Hamilton? How was the overall buying experience?

I'm actually in Grimsby, but bought from Acura on Brant (Burlington). I actually got an email from them a couple days ago that my car arrived. Looks like we'll be having twins. lol. I did order the aero kit however, and that's backordered.

I dealt with a guy named Chris at Acura of Hamilton. Great guy, easy to deal with, and the buying experience was very good. Strongly recomend anybody to talk to him.

Have you seen the aero kit in person? I haven't... I know that many aren't sold on the design of the rear lips (Stew4HD had posted many pics) however I don't think it looks bad - it's definitely growing on me and I'm sure it looks much better in person.
I'll be sure to post detailed pics. If you are still unsure, you're more than welcome to drop by if you are ever in my area once I get the car.

One advantage to having the kit installed prior to delivery is that the kit will then have the full 4 year warranty as the rest of the car. Installed after and it will just have a 1 year warranty. At least that's how it works in the states.
