Did anyone regret getting the umber interior?

For those of you who have lived with the umber interior for a while now, are you tired of it? Or does it still look really nice to you? Is it hard to keep clean? If you have a choice, would you go with it again? Or taupe? Or ebony this time?

I like the umber interior but then I wonder how I would feel after living with it for a while? Please share your experience - thanks!

Just love it and love it and love it!!!
Never regret~~
I won't allow anyone even myself eat in the car so the seat are very neat and clean.
I'll just use those stuffs that specially for the leather seat to clean the seats.
But, specially for the driver seat, it will easily can see the wrinkles on the seat due to always sit on it.

If I can choose again, I think I'll choose a red or red with black color seats which Acura don't seem to have it in near future...lol
But the umber seat are looks amazing!!!

No regrets here, my only complaints are the premature wear of the seats, but that has nothing to do with the color. My 3rd generation TL was Ebony so I was looking for a change and Taupe will definetly get dirty easier than Umber.

I was just thinking today when I got in the car. "Dammmmn this interior is hot". One of the things holding me back from getting the 6 speed manual (other then the financial bath) is the lack of Umber with an exterior color I like.

Thanks, guys!

I love the umber color too so you guys are really "enabling" me! LOL! It is so unusual and looks so upscale. It's like the cinnamon interior for the Audi Q5!!!

Now, I resent the fact that Acura does not do umber interior for the PMM and GM colors anymore! What a shame! Those were really super combinations... now I guess if I want umber, it's down to WDP or MBM (cos I don't want the upkeep of yet another black car LOL).

Yes I regret it....regret not getting it! About 3 weeks after I got the car (Taupe interior) I went back to the dealer to get my registration. And there it was, WDP with umber in the show room. Damn, hotness!

I've always wanted the magma red interior color of the Germans, or the red from Honda's S2K or NSX. This was the closest offering and I'm very happy with it.

I don't have the umber interior, but I do like it and if it was'nt my wifes car I may have considered it. I have seen it combined with the black and white exterior colors. I think it looks better with the black.
As for the umber color itself, I think it gives the cars interior a richer look. Reminds me of Ferrari interiors.

Love the umber interior on my CBP! It's a nice offset and the two tone interior looks far superior to single tone. Upkeep isn't that bad, almost like having black leather. I always get compliments on my interior!

Is it just me or does anyone else think the Acura leather quality is getting worse every year (i.e. retaining its durability over time).

Actually, I think it's better. I know the leather used in the current TL SH AWD os better than what's in my '05 TL.

I had a Black & Umber SH-AWD in my showroom and I have to say that it looked bad ass! The pictures did not do Umber justice.

Does anyone have a picture of Mayan Bronze with Umber?

So I missed my chance on picking up a '12 TL with Umber leather. Out of curiosity, how rare is this leather on the TL? Will it likely show up again on the listings?

Interesting. I like the umber interior better than Taupe but not as much as the Ebony. The ebony just matches everything perfectly and is the easiest to keep clean and hide age. To me anything else looks like it was shoe-horned into the car and doesn't really totally match. Then again there is no umber option for 6MT so who knows, maybe if I saw one in person I may feel differently. Black just looks perfect to me though.

Yep. But that was prior to the MMC right ? I was only in the market for a 6MT MMC.

It definitely was not my preferred color. We looked very hard for an advance model and everytime we found one I was like "but that seat color is ....". I have grown to love the color. Glad I got it!

I tend to keep my cars for long periods. My current car is 13 years old, but I did buy it in '07 when it was already 5 years old.

My question is, will the Umber interior hold up well after say... 10-15 years?

If you take care of it, and keep it out of the sun, maybe.
Nothing will age as well as black. Taupe is the worst when it comes to aging.
I would think Umber would be in between. I don't want to worry about every little thing
showing in or out which is part of the reason why I have a Silver/Black combo.

No complaints, women and kids call it peanut butter LOL! It still looks amazing to me. One of the numerous reasons about the car that keeps me from moving on from it. When I'm at the dealership I get asked by other owners about it frequently.
