Dark Backup Camera

My wife has a 2011 TL, which we don’t drive very often. We got in it the other day and backed out of the garage, and notice that the backup camera display was VERY dark. I stopped and clean off the lens, but it still was very dark. I went into the display menu and adjusted the screen display brighter, but it was stil VERY dark. Is there something that I’m not doing to fix this problem?

Turn the main centre knob when the reverse cam is in use to adjust brightness for the reverse cam only.

Seriously?? That is so cool!
That's why I love this forum.
I always have to turn my headlights off to get the backup screen brighter. Had no idea there was an adjustment.
