CPO certification

I have bought a 2010 TL CPO with 21k miles 4 months back and today went for an oil change and dealer provided me vehicle inspection report where they check all fluid conditions , brake pads, tire wear , battery etc and am surprised to see that the automatic transmission fluid and air filter is in yellow meaning they need attention in the near future ( guessing within the next 5k miles) and also I need new tires within the next 5 k miles

I have driven only 1500 miles since I bought the car and expected that part of CPO certification dealer should have changed parts that would require to be replaced soon , I mean why buy a CPO car that needs money to be spent on servicing it soon

BTW changed oil too and it was at 60% when I bought the car

I am pissed and is this unreasonable ?

What do y'all think . I know basis purpose of certification is to have extended warranty but should not the dealer service the car properly during certification process , am sure i spent 2-3 K extra to buy a CPO car

I believe the window is 2,500 miles or 3 months...if the fluids don't need to be changed within that time frame they won't mess with them.

I questioned the dealer I purchased my CPO from because I thought the rear differential fluid needed to be changed soon and I saw that it wasn't on the inspection. That was when they mentioned the 2.5k miles / 3 months.

That's exactly what I am questioning and think that dealer should change fluids which needs replacement within 5k miles, we spend lot more buying CPO cars and the cars should be conditioned to like new , isn't that the purpose of CPO other than extended warranty

on the CPO checklist the dealer is only required to do the next scheduled maintanance within 3750 mi or 3 months.

tires only need to be above 5/32 to pass CPO.

so....with that said...my MDX recently coded A13 (at 309XX-oil change, tire rotation and tranny flush). however at the time of purchase (at 25522), for CPO, a B23 service, two new tires and a couple of other items were done. so...really depends on the dealer and how diligent they want to be. so when i took my car in i only asked for an oil change and a brake fluid flush (since it's coming up on 3 years).

honestly don't pay too much attention to the checklist they give you. as long as you know what your car needs...that's what matters. and follow your MID. tranny fluid will be around 30k for AT, which the car will tell you when it's time to get it done.

so yes, CPO is suppose to look at this stuff....and make sure all is good...but the car is still used. if you want the ultimate peace of mind....change out all the fluids to new so YOU know when they were changed last.
