A couple of '14 TL Tech questions

Well, I've been driving my newly purchased 2014 TL Tech for a week now. The odometer screen is causing me much internal conflict. It constantly shows the MPG as I am driving. Unfortunately, I find myself checking the screen and trying to maximize my MPG instead of driving the car as it is intended to be driven. Is there a way to remove that MPG rating from the screen? Also, is there no "distance to empty" readout anywhere? Other than those issues, I love the car and when I do not look at the MPG readout, the car is tremendously fun to drive. I made an excellent decision in buying this car! Absolutely no buyer's remorse here.

Do you have the Owner's Manual? If you don't you can go to owners.acura.com and download one. Given my 2006 has a Distance to Empty function on the display, I strongly suspect your 2014 will have that option as well.

One of the buttons on the right side of the steering wheel cycles through the various things that show up on that display. Get hold of the owner's manual and it will be completely discussed.

The middle button on the right side of the steering wheel cycles through various displays. "Range" = distance to empty.

You can just switch the screen to something else using the buttons on the right on the steering wheel. I have a 2011 TL so it might be different but to get to the range, go to trip computer, select, and press down a few times until you get the range.

What everyone else said. The center right button cycles between the mileage, range (miles to empty), tire pressure or just blank. Set it to whatever you'd prefer.
