I could have put in the time to read the same spec sheets that you read and seem to make you the genius you are but you did the work for me, thank you sucker! Now get back to work at best buy and trick out your 1990 TL.

They didn't make a TL in 1990. Who's the complete idiot now?

Let me ask you a question as I sit here in Detroit waiting for my connecting flight. Do you obtain your knowledge of automobiles by imagination, psychic abilities, or reading? As far as what I do for a living, it is important enough where my employer flies me out to customer sites and gets me $40k cars and a $250k house. It's certainly not a career which would make it likely for me to be on a subway at 5 am.

Oh and I do know a thing or two about cars since I swapped out a 305 chevy small block with an LT-1 vette engine into a camaro back in the day. I also swapped out the stock non-posi 2.73 ratio gears on the rear axle with 3.42 ratio posi gears sacrificing low RPM's at high speed for quicker acceleration. I also had a sh1tload of work to do with the brain and had a mechanic assist me with that part.

As far as the TL and SH-AWD is concerned I had no knowledge of the differences other than the 3.5L to 3.7L measurement and I did not know if that is a measurement directly related to engine block size, as well as the 17" to 19" tires, and that's it. Congratulations you knew the answer to these questions and what the other differences were. The goal of my post was to find out the answers to these questions without having to do the research myself. In the process I anticipated a bunch of really cool aholes would love to show off how "smart" they are which is why I said to stfu if you can't be curteous or stay on topic.

If iI wanted to be a fu**ing mechanic I would have went to school for that but I hear the money sux

Oh they didn't make TL's in 1990? I guess you are too stupid to see the irrelevance of the year, or maybe you're just trying too hard. You are my hero. Go read some more specs numpty, I'll leave that to the little guy. So simple. tell me more aboit my TL please!

Is this dude serious? It's pretty apparent that he knows he asked a dumb question and now is trying to cover his a$$ by bashing everyone and attempting to justify his intelligence.

My final comments on the topic, come down to earth and be real - you're not the only one with a $40K car and $250K+ house, I'm positive over 80% of us in this forum who own a 2009 and newer TL's are there too or even better off.
Also, for somebody at your level of intellect you sure picked an "unintellectual" login name, and lastly for someone who claims to have done an engine swap you really sound like you're full of it with the question you asked.
Good night.

It would be cheaper to keep the FWD TL and get a 2009-2010 year old SH-AWD TL as a second car.

To newbee Motley crew: Actually Motley i was on my way to work at 5 AM, 1st of all you stupid maroon i have a job and 2 side buisness that I run all by my self. 2nd of all I dont have no one or no company sending me out to buisness meetings like they have you, im the boss at my regular job and i run my Buisness at my time 0 overhead so i make all the money all to my self. So i might not travel like you all over the world but i dont have to cause i make my money locally. 3rd Your talking about how much your car cost,Guess what mine cost more than yours you Dork.
You know your the typical guy that cant take a joke, If you would of answered with a: ok guys my bad i just wanted to know and now i know that its going to cost to much ill leave it as is, but you proceed to bashing us when we are just having some fun with you. Maybe if you would of spent some of that money that you make on the AWD you would not be in this predictament. Actually go ahead and do it ,show us how much money you have and get it done, show us that your balls and yourmoney are big enough to handle the cost and headaches that come with changing your motor, transmition, motor mounts, computers, rear seats. Your a newbee and your start in Acurazine might not be a good one if you dont lighten up Rich man.

I could tell you quite a bit about your TL. I'm a mechanical engineer

But there's no point because this isn't real life. I'm dreaming right now. No one is this stupid.

Do you even get one vit of the fact that I said I did not know what the differences between the two models were other than the two that I mentioned you stupid fu**ing idiot? Was I supposed to psychically know the chassis' were different? Or that the suspensions were different? That's why I wrote the post you dumb fu**ing retards. Of course you own the oldest possible model this particular forum concerns lol. You guys are geniuses btw, you sis my research and all of a sudden I am dumb because I didn't know what year the Ford Model T was made. I bet you were great in history class. As far as attempting to "redeem" myself. Only idiots like you would think that. You guys are my heroes man. Fu**ing jackasses. Done reading this thread or your unintelligent idiotic responses so don't waste your time I promise you I won't revisit this thread, and you will be blocked from responding to my future threads. Grow up you jackasses.

Well, for what it's worth, you got your answer. Go trade your car in for an SH-AWD.

Funny that he said he wouldn't revisit this thread. As a newbie he must not know about the "Current Active Users Viewing This Thread". Busted!

Anyway, great how he threatens to block people. Can I get on that list? Actually, is there a way to block me so I can't even see your posts?

Kind of have a sinking and disappointed feeling in my stomach.

Many boring afternoons I considered a nice trolling thread like this, but now I'll probably get called out on being a copy-cat since my idea was so similiar... ayi.

It has to do with neither actually. The displacement size in engines has to do with the bore of the cylinders and the stroke from the crankshaft. (Bore Stroke 89mm x 93 vs 90mm x 96)

Now having said that you may not like the responses but they in no way call for your language. Just IGNORE them. Responding in the manor you do only furthers the posts from them.

This guy is a joke, going on about how he bought the non-sh awd because he couldn't afford the payment and now all of a sudden he thinks he's a big baller with a 250k house and a 40k car? Yet he says he leased the car and plans a buyout? WTF haha
