What's up fella's I wanted to know since I am to lazy to search if the TL's navigation system has a option to show a compass. I know the non tech package shows the compass on the LCD info area, when the map is on it only points to North in my vehicle. Obviously I know I can figure out East etc. from there but I just wanted to know if there was a complete compass?

 

On the navi map screen there's a compass on the top left corner. You can set up the map to show the vehicle "always north up" or heads up.

 

PsychDoc is right. However, if you mean displaying a true virtual compass on the screen, like the Lexus Nav system does, then the answer is no. You have to extrapolate from the display what your heading is (N, NE, etc.). Minor shortcoming but can be bothersome before you've had your first cup of coffee

 

I kind of wonder why Honda didn't use those rear view mirrors with compass built in like many other auto makers. I kind of miss that, but then again... if you got the tech with navi, there really isn't a real need for a compass....

 

Honda is one of the few companies that doesn't put it in the rear view mirror if you have Navi, im driving a nissan righ tnow and it has it on the navi and in the mirror. and it is truly a convenience to have it in the mirror.

 

I wonder if we can use the one from the old accord. I added the power mirror with compass to my 06, but stupidly didnt have it removed before my trade but i'd buy another one if it'd work

 

My wife's Pilot has a very nice one in the top right of her rearview mirror.

 

Thanks fella's that's what I thought the previous generation of Acura gps units I know did show a conventional compass on the screen.
