Check Gas Cap message

So lately I've been getting the message "Check Gas Cap". I did check, Gas cap is tight and the seal seems intact - no breaks. Based on some reading - it may be the pressure canister valve so I will go ahead and replace the part. it is cheap and seems easy enough to do. Any other part I may need to check?

I had the same issue a while ago. The problem was the cap itself even though the cap was tight and looked perfectly fine. I replaced the gas cap and it fixed the problem. You should try that first.
