Change SH-AWD rear diff fluid if MID hasn't reminded me after 45000 miles?
Yeah, so I bought my 2010 6MT at around 56000 miles and am currently at around 101000 miles (highway), yet the MID hasn't ever reminded me to do a "6" service.
I've done a "3", which is transmission and transfer case fluid, and I now have a "4" service due, which is spark plugs and timing belt/water pump (TB/WP was done a few months ago while the dealership gave me a warrantied J37 short block replacement due to oil consumption), and I was expecting a "6" which hasn't come yet.
Manual suggests 7500-15000 mile intervals for painfully extreme cases, I've seen 30,000 mile recommendations, but why haven't I seen anything after 45000 miles?
Normally I'd just stick with MID recommendations, but something feels a little off about this interval recommendation, especially since the SH-AWD diff is pretty aggressive on fluids.
Should I just change it anyway while I do my oil and plugs? I know it's only about $30 worth of fluid.

I change mine every 15k miles just to be safe. I've mastered the technique and I don't even have to jack up the car.

I changed my ATF filter with one of these
Magnefine 3/8 Inch Magnetic Inline Transmission Filter
This is what I use:
Engine - 5qts Penzoil Platinum 5w20 + Filter (Mobil1 M-104)
Transmission - 4qts of Acura ATF
Differential - 3qts of Acura DPSF
Transfer Case - 1qt of Royal Purple 75w90
Not much to it, it's got a drain bolt and a fill bolt. I bought an OEM filter for the transmission

And just a reminder ... for any fluid filled device that has a fill and drain bolt make sure you loosen the fill bolt first before the drain. If for some reason you can't remove the fill bolt and you've already drained the fluid, you're SOL.

On the transfer case: You can probably go 100k miles or more between fluid changes. It's just a simple gear box protected with gear oil. It does not have any clutches like the trans or rear diff that create lots of heat that break down the fluid and shed metallic particles that contaminate the fluid over time. But certainly changing it more often wont hurt anything as long as it's done correctly.

Hmm, I spoke too soon. By chance I changed my transfer and diff fluids this morning. The transfer fluid was NOT in pristine condition as I expected. I had changed it at 15k with Mobil 1 75w-90 full synthetic. This change was at 76K (61k miles on fluid) and it was dark. I intend to change it from now on at 30k during my routine maintenance.
I rescind my "good for 100k miles" comment in my previous post. It was based on my non-TL gear box past experience.
