Certified or not?

Certified or not?
So Im still waiting to pull the trigger on what will be my 1st acura TL. I have searched and waited and have 2 options available to me. I'm looking at (2) 09 SH-AWD, Tech; One has 45k on it, acura certified and the other has 58K on it, not certified and is going for $6k less. In you opinon is the mileage and certification worth the extra $6K? (keep in mind that the 58k car is over the standard warranty and ill probably buy a extended warranty for that car in addition to the price)

I'm on my 6th Acura vehicle and never taken one in for warranty issues.
The CPO is a nice piece of mind for sure, and I did opt for this when I bought my 09 TL in 2010.
I'd see if they'd meet you in the middle on that 6k.

I would say no, it's not worth the extra $6k. The CPO warranty only goes to 60k miles so that's a lot extra to pay for only the next 15k miles being under warranty. Maybe see if they can throw in the extended warranty so it's covered to 100k (bumper to bumper).
I'd need more details on the warranty you're considering on the other vehicle to say for sure.
Good luck!

Maybe I'm wrong but I was under the impression that if a car is above 50k miles and sold from a non Acura dealer you cannot get an Acura Care extended warranty. I would get the CPO; these cars have too much tech. Although I have faith from current/past experiences with Acura vehicles the piece of mind is well worth it.
Things I've had replaced under warranty:
Oil pressure/level sensor
Various blown speakers
I know it wouldn't have cost you 6k to have those fixed out of pocket but having the car covered is worth a lot of

It's hard for me to say as I've only been in my TL since September of last year (though I've had no issues so far). I have always preferred a warranty just for the peace of mind, though with the reliability of these vehicles I'd say it's not a must.
What color(s) are you considering? Just a heads up...there have been issues with the paint on some CBP's from 2010. If that's the color you're considering take a very close look at the metal surfaces.

In Raleigh, NC. These are pretty much the best deals I can find here. I could travel to VA or DC to save $2k but I like being able to actually look at the car I'm buying before I make my decision. The $30k is not in stone and Im sure i can get him to either drop the price abit or throw in extras knowing there is now a cheaper option.

ditto, seems extremely high.
you need to outsource more, do alittle more research..
its a big investment so you want to utilize everything you can to find the right car.
when shopping for a car.. never "Settle"

I traveled from NYC to Karen radley Acura in VA for a great deal on an 09 TL SHAWD TECH with 38k miles, fully loaded with the body kit, backup sensor and 19" rims for 30k. They have a 10' TL SHAWD TECH for 32k - and that's fully loaded! Plus it's certified which I highly recommend. http://usedcarinvirginia.com/acura-used-inventory.html

6k for Acura CPO is a NO NO.
Check this: http://www.acura.com/WARRANTYCOVERAGE.ASPX
Acura CPO only give you an extra 1 year/12k miles addon to the original warranty.
save the 6k for future repair, I'm sure it will be much less.
if you're in the market for a TL, why don't you check this out: https://acurazine.com/forums/4g-tl-2009-2014-123/selling-my-2012-sh-awd-advance-tl-848876/

I paid just over $28k for the exact same car last April. CPO '09 w/ Tech & AWD.
I haggled for an entire week, but it was worth it

***Update*** I have been doing more searching and it looks as if it has paid off. I now have my eyes set on a pair of 2010s, SH-AWD w/tech, CPO and sub 30k for a $32k or $33k. I would have to travle to get to them but its worth the deal. I am also negotiating the 09 to come down on the price and throw in the painted grill and under body spoiler. If any one has a person that they have dealt with that they recommend (on the east coast) pm me their info. Wish me luck. Ill keep you posted.
