the new 2012 TL is a great car except the car seat is hurting my back. My 2005 TL seat was great so I thought this would be fine as well. I have tried cusions but that has not worked. Anyone heard of replacing the car seat and putting an 05 seat in? I know the 2012 has side airbags so that might be a problem? Thoughts?

 

never tried it, youd be the first one, you should test it out.

i dont see any harm in just taking out the seat and trying it.

 

05 TL has side airbags as well so that shouldn't be a problem. However, I doubt the seat rail will match the mounting points in the 12' TL and wiring harnesses are most likely going to be completely different. It may end up becoming a wiring nightmare.

 

Aren't the seats ventilated on the 12 TL?

Try the lumbar support. It works for me.
