Receive the call today as well that the part is ready for my car after 3 weeks driving a rental Toyota Camry. I was expecting it to be in the fall, but certainly glad I can drive my car for the summer.

I just had my airbag recall completed today. I was given a rental car last Monday and a week later I get a call that my part has arrived.
That was convenient.

Hamilton Acura installed my recall air bag inflator this week.
They also offered to do the transmission update but I declined since my car shifts perfectly and exhibits no torque converter issues.
I have a letter from Acura Canada confirming that they are warrantying my torque converter up to 170,000 or 2018 (8 years).
Ensure that your vehicle is properly registered with your ownership info with Acura (e.g. if you bought it privately or from a non-Acura dealer).
As of now (110,000 km) I am very happy with the performance of the TL which we bought "off-lease" in 2012.
The only issues I have are that the tires/suspension seem very harsh over rough pavement, and we have the damn roof rattle.
Knock on wood!

Finally!!! I got mine air bag inflator done today. Acura dealer also done the transmission software update and transmission fluid change. I noticed the shifts are a lot smoother now. I got 46000km (28583mil) on it already!!! I also got a letter from Acura Canada confirming that they are warrantying my torque converter up to 170,000 or 2018 (8 years).
