hi all,

i have the 2010 AWD with manual transmission. I was wondering if it is possible to change the setting so that when i turn off the engine, all doors would unlock? at current default setting, only the driver's door is unlock when i shut off the engine. thanks.

 

Yes, it can be programmed to unlock all doors. I say that but I have a 2012 and assume that it works the same way. Check the manual for programming instructions.

 

Yes it does go to settings an follow the options that's all very easy an simple

 

Change your FOB/Driver 1 or Driver 2 preferences on the steering wheel/gauge cluster menu. Lots of choices on if it locks, what it locks, when it locks, and what it unlocks, lighting delay, etc.

I do think you have to be in Park though. Not sure on the clutch cars how it works.

 

I think on 6MT's you have to be stopped with the parking brake on...

 

Yes, this is how I have my 6MT set up. The manual lays out the procedure pretty completely. As mentioned above, you can set it so that once the car is stopped and parking brake is engaged (on the 6MT) all four doors auto unlock.

 

thanks all for the info. it worked like a charm. now i don;t have to hit the unlock button multiple times for unlocking all doors lol.

 

Why would you want to unlock ALL doors upon turning off the engine ?

You never know who's lurking in the dark waiting for the opportunity to enter your car via the UNLOCKED rear door in order to rob you !!
