Hello, I am in the process of buying a used ktuner. What are some of the things i should know before buying this? I asked the guy if it is unlocked from the previous car and he said it was. Is there any way he can prove it is unlocked? He says the ktuner is for a honda/acura.

also is there a tune specific for drop in k&n filter and XLR8 Jpipe?

He can connect the unit to his car + laptop and take a pic of the software asking if he'd like to lock the unit to the vehicle. This proves it's not locked to the vehicle atm. Pay with paypal, you're protected if there are any discrepancies.

Yes, excellent advice from Heart on getting the verification via that picture. As for the available basemap tunes, they only reference mods to the exhaust system: Tune 2 is for J-pipes, and Tune 3 includes PDC/HFPC's. None deal with modifications to the Intake from what I saw when flashing and they all come with a disclaimer that if you make mods to your intake then a professional tune is recommended for proper fuel mapping.
