It's good to have something. But if you park in manhattan. No matter what, someone is gonna figure out how to mess up your bumper. When some people see cars with a protective item on the back the prob think "oh it's ok to hit that car, it has a protector on it" some people just shouldn't be allowed to park in manhattan. But def get something. And keep in mind times when it rains. Do you wanna keep taking that wet thing and putting it in your trunk? Depending on the color of your car I would say go with that rubber strip that ppl put. I put it on my g35 wen I parked in manhattan and 4yrs later still good. Didn't put it on my TL cuz I ran away from manhattan street parking lol

Wow...those things are....wow! Have they been a big help? How long do they take to put on and take off? Do they take up a lot of room when stored in the trunk? In Manhattan, I would be concerned that someone would steal them.

I'm live in the Bronx NY and I have the bumper guards that go on the front or rear. And they also cover the corner of the TL. I only put them when I park in public streets otherwise i park her in a private garage at night. I found the hard way that it is illegal to put those on if you cover the license plate. I got a big ticket for $90.00 for covering the license plate. So as long as you raise the bomber covers over the license plate u will be ok.

They are a big help, you know the one day i forgot to put them on someone hit the rear bumper and ruined it. It takes about 30 seconds to put them on or take them off.

Parkchester in the house!

Steven: it works very well, but annoying havingto put it on when your late for something. I used to leave it on for a while but stopped. It takes up a lot of room, if you leave it open and don't use the straps to fold it. Stolen? Maybe but I doubt it since the top straps are use velcro to stay on the inner carpet of the trunk.
