Break IN Period

Looking for some advice on the break in period for the TL. I'm hoping to pick up a TL SHAWD soon and was wondering what is some good advice for breaking this beast in.

1000 kms or 600 miles, thats what the manual says, after that I start driving at much higher rpm I didn't redline it though. I drive at various speeds and rpm sometimes 3000RPM, 4000RPM, and 5500RPM. I am at 5500kms, 50% oil life. The Oil level little below the max line which is normal. I notice that the fuel, mileage has improve since I bought the car 12.5L/100km now I am getting 10.9L/100km - 11.5L/100km city and highway driving

you can start by reading the manual, all good information is there....otherwise, when i get a new car, i usually drive it normal, i dont push it for the first 600 miles like the manual says, then i still drive it normal, but i start adding full throttle bursts during the next 400 miles...

other then that, dont put the cruise control on for extended periods of time, and make sure you vary your rpm's during highway drives during the first 600 miles...

I do the opposite. I had to take the highway home after I picked it up from the dealer and already opened it up. There's a lot of topic online about this, can easily be found on google.
