Body Side Moldings - Yes or No ???

I don't know if I should get a BSM for my new CBP TL. I think the BSM takes away the luxury look and less shiny from the TL. What do you think? Thanks

It depends on how you park... if you always park far away from everyone then the molding is useless, if you don't then it may save you a ding. the oem molding doesn't look bad since it is low on the door

I got the BSM, along with splash guards, when I bought the car. Like the splash guards, I really didn't want the BSM at first. I also didn't like the idea of my doors all dinged up from idiots around here who have no respect for other people's stuff and routinely smash doors with their doors and shopping carts. After having them installed I have to say I personally like they way they look. General opinion of my friends is that they look good on the car and didn't take anything away from it.

I considered and rejected getting body side moldings for my PMM TL. I think they are mounted too low (at least in the pictures I've seen) to prevent most door dings, because the upper part of the door sticks out more and would get hit the most. And like you, I think they detract from the smooth aerodynamic look of the car.

i think like the splash guards, its personal prefrence...i like the splash guards, but not too sure about the bsm...i like it, but a ding on the bsm is still a ding, but i guess its cheaper to replace a piece of that vrs having the door refinished...

If they protect from one ding, they are worth the cost. I would not own a car without them, that said on my Wife's TSX they are too low and they may even be a bit low for my TL. I think they add to the look of the car.

NOPE!!!

Ruin the lines of the car. The side is the one angle where the car looks best. Don't ruin it.

Yes! I think it breaks up the lines, plus the fact that most people are idiots and dont care about someone else's car (Except for the people on this board!)

I wish I had bought the BMS before my 3 yr old daughter opened our other car next to it parked in the Garage...She knew she was busted and before I even knew....she ran to me and said SORRRY DAAAAAAAD...Im SORRRRYYYYY!....I was like for what and she showed me...I was like NOOOOO! dropped to my knees and gave her a hug...couple weeks later she did it again.....now I lock the cars...

I got the spash guards and considered the bsm, but I think they are too low on the car so really not enough protection so not getting them.
