Back seat

So I brought my car to the mechanic last week to have my timing belt, water pump, other belts, spark plugs and rear shocks all done. I just noticed while cleaning my backseat that it's not clipped in, the top back of the seat bench. Is there a reason why they would have un-clip the backseat?? 2nd how do I get it to snap back in??

What do you mean? Is the backrest loose to where it just folds down?

If so, it's unbolted. The TL doesn't have a folding seat.

yes, to get to the rear shocks, the seats need to come out to access the rear shelf.

the seat back rests on a lip or a hook..kinda like hanging a picture frame. lift up, until it catches on the hook, then pull down...

may need to unclip bottom cushion, first...as it's like a puzzle...

Isn't that the clip for a car seat?

In the picture, it looks like it. I think the clip is opened and the seat is loose and flopping forward. I think they're two separate issues, but the car seat clip takes all of 0.5 seconds to push closed. But yes, I noticed that as well.

the hook/lip/ is located below the rear shelf/deck.
