Anyone use Liqui Moly?

I've been using Castrol Edge Extended Performance but can get a heavy discount on Liqui Moly thru my job. Anyone have any experience with this oil?

I have been using Liqui Molly for the past 3-4 years. I love it and best oil!

Awesome! I want to switch but I'm unsure of which variety to use in my TL. They have so many additives.

You won’t regret. I am very picky about my oil and this was highly recommended by a few experts. It’s a bit expensive but worth every penny.

I'm glad I work for a large European car parts distributor that I'm able to get it for cheap. Gonna use the last jug of Castrol I have.

What does this oil do to be considered the best? I like to keep an open mind about trying new products.

Folks, discussing which oil falls within the category of "Overthinking things"; as I have said many times on this forum, oil is like religion, use whichever brand and product line you worship; assuming you change your oil on a relatively regular basis, the oil will not make a tinker's damn worth of difference in the life of your engine.

If you can get a heavy discount then go for it. I've heard good things about Liqui Moly over on bobistheoilguy forums. Can't say if it's any better than any other oil but I heard that BMW and Mercedes (the ones built in Germany) do their initial fill with it, so it can't be half bad.

If the discount is significant and worth it, then go for it! Oil is oil for most folks. Unless you are doing oil changes 1x a year or doing a lot of driving you'll be fine with either. I've been using M1 Gold Cap EP with either a M1 filter, Honda filter and now the Fram ultra filter with good results. Fram Ultra shows a bit more filtration down to 20 microns @ 99% vs the M1 that does up to 30 microns at 99%. Also trying Pennzoil Ultra Plat. Oil in the MDX to see how it holds up to the higher side loads of the 3.7L vs the 3.2/3.5.

Gonna look into the fram. Right now the car has a Bosch filter. So far it's doing a great job. Next oil change is Castrol EP Edge and the Mobil 1 Filter. I change my oil every 6 months and don't burn a single drop. Oil is never black and I drive 7k mostly highway. Gonna try the Liqui Moly and see how it holds up but so far Castrol has done me good. In my opinion the 4G TL is a very reliable vehicle and matches the reliability of my 07 Honda Civic.

Heck I was happy to see amazon selling Pennzoil Ultra Plat 5w-20 for 17.99 one day so I bought 6. I usually paid 35+ per. Granted the Amzoil filter is my goto w/ price tag, however the Purolator Boss filter is a new alt for me in a pinch.
Redline / Amzoil are the alt oils. There is my oil religion
