i put in a $30 kit off of ebay close to 3 months ago and its still running strong. no error codes or flickering. i inspect em bi weekly (everytime i wash my car) and i dont see signs of "burning" or anything. the kit was plug and play, no splicing necessary. took 10 mins to install each side.

Yes, plug n play. There is no need to be cutting any wires, just make sure you get an H11 kit.

My kit has trouble getting both fogs going if the car is not on. If the car is on it will fire up both.

The 35w kit is good, the 55w HID kit will likely cause too much heat and will affect your reflective housing in the fog light.
