Talking Aftermarket Security

Hey Everyone. 1st off, MERRY XMAS!!! I was wondering if it is possible to put an aftermarket security alarm on the 2010 TL Tech & how would it interact with the pushbutton system. Also, how good do you folks feel the standard alarm system is

you dont need it. You cant really steal this vehicle anymore, unless you leave the key in the car.

I think most alarms only discourage the "casual" thief or joy rider type. If a professional car thief wants the car, it'll be gone. I've had aftermarket alarms in other cars & never got any real benefit from them (other than keyless entry feature before it became popular as a factory item).

Also, when's the last time you heard a car alarm going off and seen anyone in the area actually noticing or doing anything about it? I think most people think of them of an annoyance with all the false alarms.

Although if your insurance company gives a big enough discount, it might be worth the cost...

The insurance company should give a discount for having navigation in the car. If the car was stolen and if worse came to worse they can find your car by the gps positioning. But I understand why they don't because the GPS module can easily be tampered with and disabled.
