So basically yahoo is dumb.

Mentioning 1 generation (4G) of TLs, but actually is mentioning two generations (3G/4G).

Thus, realizing what there actual intention, this thread belongs in the 4G section.

are 09-11 TLs prices ridiculously low or something??

So in 2012, you're seeing more of a car that has been on the market for 3 years than you were in 2009?

Is actually by Forbes, and is not an actual staff of Forbes is just a contributor. But hey, least someone out there says TL is reliable!

This is not really surprising is it? That is one of the key selling points of buying a Honda product.

If you actually read it man, they mention two different generations in the topic. Not as one.

As with all of the vehicles in our top 10 list of most-reliable used cars, the model-year 2008 and 2009 versions of the midsize Acura TL luxury sedan received top grades for long-term durability from both Consumer Reports and J.D. Power and Associates owner surveys and high marks in initial quality and performance testing. The TL combines elements of comfort and performance with a sporty demeanor. The 2008 version can be found with either a 258-horsepower 3.2-liter V6 or a stronger 286-horsepower 3.5-liter V6. The TL was redesigned for 2009 and featured a 280-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 as the base engine, with a 306-horsepower 3.7-liter V6 in the SH-AWD all-wheel drive model. The TL remains attractively styled inside and out (though the pronounced front nose design on the 2009 – pictured here – is a matter of taste) and affords ample comfort for both front and rear-seat passengers, with stability control and many amenities included.

Actually I'm seeing more of them than I did last year...my neighbors and coworkers bought their '09 and '11 TLs this year...

up until this year, I felt like I was the only one with a 4G TL in the Philly western burbs...

^they still are mentioning the same vehicle. They think the 08 is the 09. They just think it changed for higher HP and AWD only.

Not from what I read buddy. See below. They knew it wasn't the same vehicle/generation or they would have not put this in there. They put two years of the TL in there as they knew it was redesigned and both years got on the list.

The TL was redesigned for 2009 and featured a 280-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 as the base engine, with a 306-horsepower 3.7-liter V6 in the SH-AWD all-wheel drive model.

I got that, but I still think they're trying mentioning the redesign of the engine. They mentioned 10 vehicles, yet, technically, it is 11 with the 3G. Which makes me believe they're only talking about the 4G, hence the picture. If including two models was the case in choose '1' vehicle, then the Lexus ES would have its last 4 models up. :x

It clearly states

The TL was redesigned for 2009 AND featured a 280-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 as the base engine, with a 306-horsepower 3.7-liter V6 in the SH-AWD all-wheel drive model.
They said it was "REDESIGNED" (this clearly means that they realize it was a new body style) "AND FEATURED" A 280HP 3.5 V6 as the base engine (new featured motor for the redesigned body style)

Why would they say "The TL was redesigned" if they were only referring to just the motor? That makes no sense. That's why it says "AND FEATURES". If someone wrote "The 2013 Accord was redesigned AND features a new 185HP Direct Injected 2.4L I-4" why would you assume that it's the same body style?

If they did "assume" the 08 and 09 TL are the same with only a newer engine than it would have been worded "The TL engine was redesigned for 2009 and features a 280HP 3.5 V6 as the base engine"

Everything in that yahoo post about the TL makes perfect sense to me. Maybe yahoo isn't the dumb one..

^so 10 is basically 11. Can say top 10 vehicles but is actually posting 11 vehicles. Then it just shows the 4G and doesn't correlate like it does with other vehicles

Eh could go either way IMO.

Don't have to get mad or anything lol just an observation which most sites mess up.
