Hey All,


I just purchased a used 2010 White Acura TL - 6 Speed SH-AWD.


It has 55,000 KM's.


I noticed that the previous owner used regular gas.. I found a bunch of receipts for gas that stated regular..


I am worried about the engine.. I purchased the car from a Acura dealership. I am just wondering if there is anything I can get them to check to make sure the car is okay.

Congrats on the TL..

I'm pretty sure the car is ok, just start using premium. Is the TL running bad right now, or is this just your concern because you found the receipts? On another note, it doesn't seem that your dealer did a good job prepping the car if all these receipts were found.

If it makes you feel better bring it back and let them know that you found a bunch of gas receipts in the car that show reg gas was used, and you're concerned and want them to check it out. If nothing else at least it will be on record with Acura. Who knows maybe you'll get a free fuel system cleaning.

You could always put some Chevron Techron in during your next fill up.

Tell dealership and have them document it so if there are problems, they will need to address it. I like using Shell for gas.
