Acura messed up my car !
so i found out that my acura had a paint defect on it , and after a hard time at acura , they painted my car " now i see dust underneath the paint on the trunk , roof, they burnt the paint on the hood from buffing to much , and theres fish eyes on the side of the car , they told me that they painted the whole car . they didn't paint my side skirts my trunk panel , my roof antenna , they messed up my inside of my car too with dirty hand prints on the roof inside my car and more. so should i get a lawer? cause they are denying it and they won't give me my money back, let me know what you guys are thinking

First if all....Acura did not mess your car....the dealership/repair shop did. Secondly, where did you have it repaired? Did you talk to the shop/dealer and showed them your concerns? Were you calm or did you lost it on them, because you know, people will get very defensive if they are confronted. Do you have pics you can show us?

Maybe he's talking about the paint defect from the factory that affected your TL. Regardless if it's the factory defect or him paying for a paint job it shouldn't come out all "dusty". OP talk nice and firm with the dealer and see if they will fix everything. If not then you can always resort to the legal way. Good luck.

in actuality the repair shop that worked on your car is the primary handler of your vehicle. most dealers sublet the work to shops they have relationships with. so, acura corp had nothing to do with the repair of your vehicle. perhaps they were responsbile to the initial defect. the dealer itself....if they are trying to cover for the shop they sent your car to then the dealer should be ashamed of themselves and have more pride in taking care of their customers. certainly your personal attitude can also influence how you will be treated. OP sorry you have to deal with this stuff. it's never any fun. hope you are able to get this resolved without involving lawyers. i would speak to the service manager or even the GM of the dealer and express your concerns firmly and calmly. spouting off on them won't get you anywhere as much as you want to bite someone's head off for the crappy work that was performed on your car. good luck.

Once the dealership sent the car off somewhere to have it repainted, it becomes the dealership's responsibility; unless the dealership sent the car back to the Acura factory.

If you are taking your car to other body shops then get an estimate from them stating what is wrong with the paint and what's needed to correct it. Show this to the dealer and they can call the body shops to confirm that the paint is not done properly. Another option is to take this directly to Acura corp. Call Acura and see what they say.

lol judging from your other threads.. it seems like you no nothing about cars..
you just dont demand acura to give you your money back, it is a legal process that has to be done.. you have two options.. start legal procedures or go to another acura dealer and have them repaint it again. I had the same issue, thing is i kept in touch with the body shop that painted my car the whole time, i stop by the shop every 4-5 days to check on my car, it was 10 mins from my house so i had no problems to do so.. also i can give my input to the body shop on what problems i had or see..

How many times are you going to start a thread on this same subject, black2010tl?

be a little more educated and handle it like a grown up adult.
first of all, take some pics and post them here so we have a basic idea what you're talking about.
be calm and talk to the dealer first to see what could be done to resolve this. you can't just go in and ask for your money back because of the paint job.

Dealer did this to my car when they fixed a leak from the roof rack in the RDX. Pretty much a bunch of goons at the body shop. Try some carpet cleaner on the headliner.

Reminds me of the Little Ceaser's commercial when u show back up at Acura dealership:
Acura salesman: "ooooowwwwned!!"
They call the body shop on speaker phone. Dude that did your paint: "ooooowwwwwned!"
You go get a lawyer, he replies: "ooooowwwwwned!!!"
You get in the car to go home, the car Navi system: "oooowwwnned!"

hey after the long fight with Acura , they lost , i won . i got 100% of my money back , no lawyer needed, i them by there balls and they knew it. All i had to do was to play one voicemail to general manager i had from them admitting that they knew about the defect on the car when they first sold me the car , but its all good =] done with Acura . Thinking about getting a s5 or a m3

if you think you will have a problem free car with a s5 or m3.. you better think twice.. those are some troublesome cars.. and as i said earlier.. it seems you dont know jack shit about cars.. id stick with a civic si if i were you.. those things are impossible to break.

^^ To be honest, I am doubting the credibility of this thread so I wouldn't worry too much

I call Bullshit on this one...... Maybe I am reading this wrong but "ACURA" is going to give you a refund check on a 2010 TL when we are almost in 2013????? Dealerships are owned privately and are basically a franchise. I can not imagine that in any way that Acura or a Dealership is going to just hand over a stack of cash you agreed to give them without at least having made a solid attempt to correct the issue first. Even the Lemon Law gives them 3 chances to correct it before they have to refund the money!
My A4 had the paint damaged at the dealership once when it went in for service. The attempted to correct it but did not do a great job as my car had looked new when I brought it to them. After a short discussion with the service manager that agreed to pay for the car to be repaired by a body shop of my choice as long as the price was reasonable. 5 days later the car looked like new again and they gave me check.
I would love to see you actually post a picture of the check here!

Slightly off topic and probably irrelevant comment by me but I just want to say that a competent body shop can do a fantastic job. My wife smashed up the front end of her Camry from the rad to the windshield. $7,000 later it looked like a new car again. It was problem free for another 8 years and we put 300,000 km on it. You would never tell that it had been repaired. But I could tell from the minute I met the owner of the shop that it was going to be good.

service dept is usually pretty good. the one in memphis and the two here in houston have been pretty good. everytime i have an issue i just call up the service dept and talk to them directly and they tell it to you straight.
i agree with everyone else, there is no such think as a trouble free car. also, any body shop that does 'authorized' work from Acura covers it with a lifetime warranty. so they should have redone it. what good is getting your money back if you car is still a POS.
