Acura 2013 TL jerk changing gear
I just wonder if anyone one else having same problem I having.
I have Acura 2013 TL when the car upshift second gear jerks when changes all other gear no jerk.
Only when upshift 1 to 2 Gear.
Is it normal for Acura to Jerk to second Gear?

For a second when I saw your post I thought "The guitarist for Scorpions, UFO, and Michael Schenker Group has a 4G TL?"
Mine does it occasionally, depending on conditions. So have other cars I've owned. So I don't sweat it. If there was a noticeable jerk with every 1 - 2 upshift then I'd be concerned.

There's also a transmission software update available from the dealer. You can do a search for more info.
And welcome to Acurazine.

I've also found that the 4th gen TL's are very sensitive when it comes to aging transmission fluid. When the fluid starts to get old, the transmission does strange things. I'd suggest, if you haven't done it recently, to have the transmission fluid drained and refilled with the proper Honda/Acura fluid. That, along with the transmission software update, should make things much improved.

Is there a software update for 2014 TL? I looked on the Service Bulletin thread for 2014 TL and didn't see a software update. I've been experiencing the 1-2 gear jerk last two weeks. I called the dealership to ask about the software update and the SA said he wasn't sure. Will need to have a tech look at it, but the software update isn't covered under the powertrain warranty. Does that sound right?

No idea if it applies to a 2014 or not but I can tell you my 2012 was out of any warranty and the dealership did the software update for free (which includes changing the transmission fluid) without any hassle whatsoever. They treated it like a recall. If it applies to 2014 they should do it for free. If it doesn't apply to a 2014 then consider just changing the tranny fluid and see if that helps.
