Can anyone confirm the color choices for a 2012 TL SH-AWD 6MT? On the Acura website when you build a car it offers choices for Silver, one of Forged Silver Metallic and another of Silver Moon, however, according to my dealer today there are only four color choices for the 6MT - namely, Black, White, Graphite and the Forged Silver. Is that a mistake on the website or is it something that may have changed and be available and my dealer just not be aware of it?

Anyone know why Acura limits those who want the MT to only four color choices? I'd really have preferred the Basque Red - any way to get that w/a MT?


I'm placed an order today (depot) and hope to see the car in February. Any other advice is welcome.

 

Forged Silver, the blue shaded silver, is no longer offered since the introduction of Silver Moon. There may be one sitting somewhere in 50 states, but it's no longer new/order available.

Your choices are Bellanova White, Graphite Luster, Crystal Black and Silver Moon, all with Ebony interior on the 6MT. Acura always limits selectively exterior/interior colors specific to the trim level, in the same way you can only get certain interior colors with an AWD Tech you cannot get with a FWD Tech.

White, Graphite, Black or Silver and all with Ebony, is your pallet. Which are you going with?

 

My first choice would have been Basque Red but that isn't an option with the MT. Interesting to note that an additional color choice is available in Canda but not the US, namely Mayan Bronze. Wonder why that is the case?

Given the limited selection, I'm going gray and that means Silver Moon since it sounds like it needs to be ordered.

 

That's a Canadian website error. Still listed on US site as well, but out of production for months now, the Mayan Bronze.

Same color pallet there and here. Silver Moon looks nice on the refreshed 2012 TL lines.
