4th Generation Ownership Demographics
Just curious to know more about the demographics who are driving the Acura 4G. In 2002 I purchased a TL Type S and throughout my 5 years of ownership, I noticed the topics of conversations on the 2G forum changing quite significantly. The discussions were becoming immature and the cars were being heavily modified. Anyway I'm curious to know more about you all here on AcuraZine.
So please share with everyone your age, occupation, and which 4G model you drive. Being I currently don't own a Acura and I'm starting this thread, I'll be more then happy to share with you all a little about me.
I think this might be fun!

CONCEPT CUSTOMER
Performance luxury sedan customers value vehicle traits, such as dramatic and exclusive exterior styling, emotional and luxurious interior design, and fun-to-drive character. These elements are balanced by an equally keen appreciation for quality, reliability, durability and competitive pricing.
Self-guided, discriminating and technically savvy, these customers also feel that prestige is determined more by life experiences than by pure wealth. In other words, experiencing life, rather than just accumulating possessions, is a powerful driver. For this reason they are interested in vehicles that help them enjoy driving to the fullest-and the 2009 TL is designed to do exactly that. While the 2009 TL is designed to appeal to a broad range of upscale consumers, the target buyer for the TL is expected to be a professional male in his mid 40s with a household income of about $100,000 per year, while the expected TL SH-AWD® target buyer is a professional male in his early 40s with a household income of over $150,000 per year.

Well hell....I'm not in their target demo. Does that mean I have to sell my Type S?

I live in Bronx, NY. I will tell you that there are ton of nice acuras in NYC metro area, and im not sure if many match that acura profile. I bought my first TL-s out of college. I feel like that target is pretty good if you exclude the age part.

Hit the send button by accident while typing.. anyways what I was saying the reason the 2Gs are heavily modded and the conversations are immature might be because they are very inexpensive at this point and the youngsters (like I'm much older lol) can get there hands on a 2G very easily..

WOW, so far I noticed the majority are SH-AWD roughly 20 to about 3 FWD. Now this can't reflect the percentages Acura is experiancing.
Well we still have a long way to go with all the 4G ownership.
Pretty cool so far!
