Can someone please tell me where the transmission fill plug is the 2009 Acura TL? I must be blind but I cannot find it. I am doing a 3x3 flush but do need to know where the fill port is before I drain all that oil out.

 

you fill through the dipstick tube. very small too. hard to find a funnel that small.

 

Yep. My funnel is much bigger than the dipstick hole, but we digress.

That must be slow. I can't believe the dealership would put up with that.

I know this is a pic of a 3G tl, but all v6 auto transmissions have the fill plug in the same location, on a 4g removal of the fuse box is not req'd.

It is not necessary to fill through the dip stick.

 

Thanks for that. I have not changed my fluid yet but I did top it off a bit through the dipstick tube and could not imagine having to do a 3x3 that way. I figured there had to be a better way. I have 40K on my car and may change it at 50K. Thanks again!

 

Very Helpful. I looked all over that area but never occurred to me to look for a plug.
