4G TL owners
I have to say, we're a rarity (at least in my neck of the woods), but lately, whenever I see one, the driver is just plain cool. I just had a dark blue SH-AWD follow me up 95N, and he was kind enough to wave hello as he passed me.
We are definitely still a "niche" group, and I like that
Here's to all of us that truly love our cars, because, as my service tech told me yesterday, they are quite "badass"

Hell yeah! We are in a badass group! I don't care what the naysayers say. I love my car! I like being one of a kind (unique).
The funny thing is ... the majority of 4G's I see around do not acknowledge my presence. I always look at them and see it they look over.. rarely do they ever but, it's even more rare for me to be in close proximity to another one. I get a thumbs up now and again by 3G owners.
I see a CBP '09-'11 SH-AWD in my neighborhood, they always give a big wave.. funny thing is that they had a 3G the same time as I did too. Acura owners

It's funny because I was going to start a thread on this topic this morning, but I didnt want to give off the impression that i'm an overly obsessive TL owner. hahaha
Whenever I see another TL on the road, my eyes are glued to it in admiration because it's so bad ass. hahaha

I'm obsessed w/ my car, and I'll freely admit it. I LOVE seeing other SH-AWD versions, and I just stare & We've got a great freakin' car - the more I stare at mine (and on the rare ocassion another like mine), I fall in love all over again. It's aggressive, it's sporty, it's just a down right amazing looking car.
I rarely even see women behind the wheel, it's almost ALWAYS guys (yes, I've read the demographics for the car, I fit into none of them), but I always throw on a or - it's not that hard to be nice to someone else that obviously has great taste in vehicles!
I see most of them in DC/NorVa area - and that's where I ended up buying mine. They don't have a large supply in the MD/DE/ SE PA area, or at least they didn't when I was looking earlier this year. Makes sense, tons of $$$ in those areas down "south"

May be me . Im getting my RonJon grill this week too. I hardly ever see any other SH's though.
But yes, though Ive only had the car a few months, Im in love with it. Plus Ive been traveling a lot for my job, driving crappy rentals, and am fiending to drive my baby again.
Im in Qatar right now and have not seen any Acuras . Surprisingly 2 SS Camaros.

i usually catch myself gawking at other TLs (3G or 4G) looking for mods. most of the time its bone stock with an older individual as the driver. then i always wonder if they are looking over at my 3G TL....

I live in the 626 area of socal and now see dozens of 4gtl's daily, though 4.5gtl's are still somewhat rare (seen 3 total so far).
From what I see, there are 3 "groups" of 4GTL drivers, I'll list them by frequency of sightings:
#1 middle aged business women (35yo+)
#2 yuppie asian men (20-30yo)
#3 older grey haired males (55yo+)
#2 may be due to the area I live in, since most of the 3gtl's I see are also driven by them.

But still, you can always buy it out of country and have it shipped.
My friend in Germany paid for a CTS-V in the US and had it shipped out there.
If I lived here I'd do the same thing. I would be totally fine being the only guy rocking an Acura

Shelly....I agree with you, we are a bunch of pretty cool people I love my 2012 AWD TL alot and I cannot tell you how often I catch myself staring at it and beaming with pride and joy *lol* You have a nice TL, I saw your pics in the picture thread and you keep it looking amazing for a black car. You know that guys here find it awsome that a girl is as passionate about her car as we are....Not to stereotype but most women se their cars as a point A to point B devices I wish you lived closer as I rarely see a TL drive by here where I live and people don't give me the thumbs up.....some give me the finger but that is because they all hate the weatherman here *lol* You should get your own blog so that we can follow your love affair with the TL and see some updates pics of your car and your nails (lol) Like Stew4....I noticed that as well and was like...OMG
Hope you have a great rest of the weekend....

Here in the Dallas area, I'm starting to see a few of the '09-'11 models. I think it's a result of the clearance sales they had during the financial downturn and once the '12's came in stock. I haven't seen a '12 yet, though.

HILARIOUS - You guys just made me crack up laughing at my desk - Thank you.
My love affair w/ my car - oh, that is it!! Ask Nexson He knows all too well how much I love my TL! And he comments on the nails too - I'm getting a mani this Thursday, I'll take a pic of it against the TL, just to show you that they are NOT that long.
ps. Weathermen are hot

Bingo - and sure I posted a pic somewhere on this site (regions perhaps?)
Marco - I'm 29, ex-professional athlete - nice try on the pic, but not even close - is that pic of your preferred type of woman? She's a looker.

I prefer the older set - guys my age typically don't have their shit together - 38 is the youngest I'll date... just in case you were wondering....
