hey all just got a 2011 tl with tech pack, quick question......is the navi on it
Compatible with Garmin, TomTom, or Magellan GPS devices
because i have a pogram ht gives those types of progams software to detect police radors

no you cant.

 

OP does that actually work well? Is it a P2P type of thing where people have to post where there is a camera/radar gun/etc. and then the alerts get stored in a database and come to you as you are in the areas?

 

you cant integrate it into the Navi.. it doesnt seem possible as it says only GPS device and smartphone..

and when it mentions gps device, it means Garmin, TOMTOM, Etc.. not factory units.

 

Don't mess around with the factory unit. If you brick the factory unit, expect to paid $3K for a new one.

 

but will it work with a smartphone? Im saying independent of the Navi system in the car does the device actually work or is it a gimmick that only works when people post where a cop is sitting or where there is a speed trap?

 

The TL is already equipped to mitigate this problem....Its called Cruise control
