3g vs 4g Let's get it on!

All these reading about which one feels faster is getting me sick! This forums have thousands of TL's why don't we meet up at some drag strip and get it over with? I have a 4g auto that we can use but I think it is slower than my last 3g auto. Here I go again! Thinking!
3g auto vs 4g auto
3g 3.5 auto vs 4g auto
3g 3.5 auto vs 4g awd auto
3g 3.5 6spd vs 4g awd auto
3g 3.5 6spd vs 4g awd 6spd
4g auto vs 4g awd auto This will be interesting!

I say the 4G FWD is the probably the slowest, bc its actually still really heavy (3800+ lbs FWD)

I too came forma 3G Type-S and think it lauanched better and was a tad quicker than my SH-AWD. Teh SH-AWD bogs down at times, I suspect the lag of all the power train lose and moving that heavy beast. I have actually had it really feel like it hesitates at times, not sure if it is the ECU figuring out what to do or what, but my Type-S was far crisper and more responsive in the pedal!

The 4G TL 6MT AWD did the quarter in under 13.9...quicker then any other TL.

Well that certainly seems credible and a well controlled experimental setup.

I read somewhere that the owner of that video(wavehogger) wrecked his TL and now owns some other car I want to say a Maxima?

Really? That's unfortunate. The Maxima's definitely a downgrade.

Wouldn't say down grade, just different. They battle it out in the same price bracket, both have lots of goodies. Only thing Max does not AWD.

Nope, it's a downgrade. Unless you prefer a cement truck. The ricey version, AKA Infinit-something, cement truck without air-ride.

From the FWD TL, you could say different but from the SH AWD, it's a downgrade.

He definitely had a SH-AWD. Personally I have test driven a 2010 Maxima and I would not call it a downgrade. The interior quality of that car was top notch. I can't say the same about the Altima......but we digress, lets not get into another TL is betta than your mommas apple pie threads

No disrespect to the Maxima, it is right up there in terms of interior quality and even has some features not available on the TL. I say downgrade from the SH from a dynamics standpoint, in terms of power but mostly handling with the two FWD models being very competitive.

These 'Wavehogger downgraded' posts don't mean anything because he bought a 370Z and not a Maxima.

My bad! Drove a Z too and that interior screams cheap. Very cheap.

I like them fine, just not in my garage. A co-worker owned both a G and M sedan. While both had this visceral feel, neither one sounded or felt good when pushed. The 6-speed in his G was awful compared to my 6-speed TL and the clutch was worse. He got rid of both because they simply weren't comfortable over a long haul.

Hillarious, I think your brain combined the review I wrote on the Maxima I had while on vaca this spring in Texas. It was a great car for the money, but certainly not the 4 door sports sedan they brag it to be. And "I" didn't wreck my TL, it was totalled in an accident which I did not cause. I decided to switch things up and got the 370. I had an awesome summer with it and she's in the heated garage sleeping for the winter. And btw now that I'm seeing more 4G's on the road I really do miss it. I just can't justify payments on two new vehicles, especially when I really don't drive that many miles on a daily basis, it would be a waste. I have a winter car and my other half has the RDX so we're good.

My RDX was *SO* much fun when there was snow on the road. Hopefully my TL will be at least half as entertaining.
