I just picked up a 2012 TL and was wondering if there was any way to have any of the song info like title or artist, display on the nav screen when I’m playing music off my phone. I read that people were able to at one point but can’t figure it out. Also my Bluetooth lags about 3 full seconds every time I pause or skip a song, is there a fix to that?

The lag is just how it was made by whoever supplied the bluetooth units for acura at the time, just something you'll have to learn to get used to.
As for the music information, I don't think the TL likes modern phones very much. When I had my oneplus 6T I could see all the info perfectly, but ever since I switched to a pixel 7 it refuses to display anything.

I have had it work with a Huawei Honor 8 many years ago displaying all the required info, then I had a Pixel 4 XL that would not show anything, and my current Pixel 6 does show it. It varies phone to phone.

Plug it in via USB!

Use USB and make sure you have at least one song on your phone via iTunes if you have an iPhone. Doing this I usually see album and song info including picture on my TL screen. Oh and make sure you push audio button.
