2012 TL SH-AWD Brake Rotor Thickness & Surface

What is normal range? On my CPO inspection checklist, it lists 29mm in the front and 10mm in the back. Not sure if that amount of differential is normal or not, and at what mm thickness is replacement recommended for each (fronts and back)?

I also noticed my front rotors were replaced under warranty at 28,943 miles and 45,176 miles, but that was literally only eight months apart. As you can already tell, this car used to be a commuter car... if you average it out over a year it comes to about 25,000 mi/year.

Just want to be sure nothing is up with my rotors and I'm looking for some insight before I go in for my 60,000 mile checkup, given that the car is perfectly fine otherwise.

Nevermind... my friend who knows all about cars helped me find a good spec sheet. For anyone that's interested...

if you ride the brakes to a stop, then yes, brake pads do need changing faster.. i am on 42k and i have 40% left.. reason why is that i dont ride my brake pads.. i rather do a hard stop than to hold it and do a slow stop

Is that brake pad dependent?
Cause When I traded in my 08 Outlander which I had since new, it was on its original pads at 94,000km and had about 30% left and I rode my brakes to a slow stop. My wife on the other hand braked heavily and had to replace her pads 2 times by the time she hit 120,000km on her Chevy.

your comparison would make sense if your wife had the same car as you but drove the way she did.. every car is different.. some cars have thicker pads while others have thinner and run out faster..
