2012 TL OEM Underbody Spoiler advise
I have searched this forum and haven't found anything on actual installed cost on the underbody spoiler kit for front, back and sides of a 2012 TL/SH-AWD. I see the list cost at the dealer but am sure that the price can be negociated down. Plus the dealer price doesn't include intallation. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I've been out of the game for a while, but IIRC - the newer 4G kits come as individual pieces (in the rear), no? DIY it! A couple bolts + 3M tape and you're probably set. I'd image there's no more drilling required (3G Aspec Kits) for the rear lip no? Cost = FREE

^^^^^ Both the front and the rear aero pieces for the 2012TL DO require drilling many holes into the bumpers.

Sorry may be i don't understand (not bilingual) but do you mean that the shop where the job was done will send some information to the custom ? If yes, Must they do that ?
Will it be the same thing if you put some new tires in USA ?

I have bought at least 4 sets of tires in the US driven accross without any issues.
I highly doubt any shop in the US would call canada customs to say you bought something at their store.
Whats next bestbuy calling canada customs to say I bought some dvd's?
It just doesnt make any sense.

Some years back, I had a friend installed 4 new tires in the US. He was fined by Canada Custom for not declaring the new tires at the border crossing. One of the officers accidentally leaked out that they were being tipped off.
It wouldn't be the tire shop itself because it more than welcomed your business and your $$$. So it had to be the minimum-wages low-life working in the tire shop, who tried to get some reward by sending in the tip.
But if you have done this before in Lynnwood with no problem, then all the people there are good people.

I had the body kit installed and car lowered at lynnwood acura.
Got lucky at the border...got thru without a scratch.
No duty or taxes
Kit looks good...I will try and get some pics up within a couple days.
Gotta install my rear roof/window ebay spoiler first.
Anyone local that can help me out?

I got the 2012 OEM body kit for $860 USD and I had it installed at McGrath Acura in Westmont, IL for $360 USD. So Grand Total: $1,220. If you shop around and purchase the kit and install at the same Acura shop you can probably negotiation them down between $1,300 - $1,600. The reason for such a large gap in price is labor. When I was pricing labor only I got prices between $360 - $588. One dealer told me straight up that they hate installing these new kits so that's why they charge so high on the labor. I didn't mind investing time to price around and most Acura dealers have no problems installing original Acura parts so that's usually not a problem. Good luck...

just a little tip for you first time installers...
i install kits for the local socal guys.. did over 10 kits now and to tell you the truth its not hard.
only hard part is getting the side skirts off.
front lip takes about 20-30 mins to install. its litterally like 3-4 holes each side and slip the clips in the holes then remove the 3m tape.
rear is exactly the same process.
dont try to do it with the bumper on the car, you will never get it to line up.

I got quoted $1500 plus HSTfor installation and parts from Fairview Acura in KW, Ont.
It was broken out as follows:
$1,320.00 for parts
$330.00 for labor
salesguy was willing to offer $1500 if I sent him photos of my car first , his service advisor had talked it up

Anyone know if the pre 2012 and post 2012 rear lip kits are compatible?
I know they changed the front grill in 2012 but was the rear bumper left the same?
Anyone on here have pictures of running a post 2012 front and sides but a 2010 rear lip?
Thanks!

I installed my 13' kit a couple months ago. Check the forums for the installation pdf or ask the dealer to send you some. Total install time was about 3 hours because the side skirts were a pita. Recommend you buy any hid fogs or switch backs before you take the front bumper off to knock out two birds with one stone.
If your familiar with legos or ikea furniture this install will be cake for you.

Question for those who bought the kits, did you have to buy the bolts, clips, and moldings or did you just choose #1 (08F03-TK4-220A) and it comes with everything?
