You keep talking about the TL "lacking" for a $45k performance sedan, but the only performance aspect you are referring to is 0-60. Have yuou consider a Dodge Charger?
Exactly. I laughed when I first read his post and didn't care to respond to his BS and highly doubt this guy actually test drove the SH TL.

FWIW, my friend paid 5K more for his very base 328 manual than I paid for my loaded AWD TL. On top of this, it is very clear to the both of us sitting in each other's cars which is the better value and quicker car. It's not even close!

Acura outperforms it's competitors in overall value.

It's also interesting to note that although the TL may only be average or a little above in straight-line quickness, both the 3rd and 4th Gen upper-level trims (i.e. TL-S and SW-AWD) move up toward the top of the list in track comparo times.

Right. Acura offers more value. Std Navi, Std Bluetooth, etc., etc., etc.

You do "comparably equipped" against most competitors and they will cost significantly more than the TL.

Until recently, I was happy to keep driving my '08 std TL. I am not into MT since we tend to have bad traffic jams here and I can't do the clutch so well anymore.. but loved the looks of the Type-S... that said, I am looking forward to getting home and getting my happy ass to the Acura dealer and test drive an SH-AWD as well as seeing the cockpit.

I like Acura for several reasons. One factor is that it's different. Where I live, it seems everyone drives Beemers, MBs, Infiniti's and Lexus's... making my baby really stand out. I like that I have a different beat as do all of us driving these great cars.

IMO, Acuras have great value, great innovation and though sometimes going against the trends (the beak comes to mind), ahead of the curve!.. also it seems that more women than men drive TL's gets me some more attention too.. oops!

Nope, no Camry for me!

+1

The 4G TL 6MT's performance is on par with the 335i and S4. A recent article had the TL 6MT and 335i with nearly identical track times, both exceeding the G37S, and trailing only the S4.

As for the 328 (which clearly is behind its 335 brother wrt performance), no contest. The TL 6MT would eat the 328 for lunch.

Another article compared the 2010 TL 6MT vs 2010 S4, and the article declared the 2 vehicles a tie: http://www.automobilemag.com/reviews..._s4/index.html

I had a 3 series BMW driver ride in my car today...now he feels he shouldn't of followed the crowd. He noted that their were eight 3 series in our parking lot and that he knows 4 of the other owners and not one of them came close to matching what the 4G TL-SHAWD had to offer in features or performance. He's trying to figure how to get out of his and 2 of his friends want to check out my TL.
