I just got a 2012 SH-AWD TL and I started to notice a rattling / almost grinding like metal noise when I accelerate. I finally realized it happens at any gear once I hit 2500 and goes away at about 2700-2800.

What could this be???? Hoping it isn’t too bad

There are tens types and causes of different rattles. At a minimum, you need to record this rattle.

Agreed. First thing to check though are your heat shields around the exhaust/cats. After 12 years at least one of the spot welds on them has probably come apart. It's very common.

Especially in a road salt rich climate or if someone has been taking that SHAWD off-road!
