2012 center arm rest

Considering a 2012 TL Sh-AWD Advance as a replacement for my 06 RL. How comfortable is the center arm rest. It looks like the tray cut out is exactly where my elbow would sit. Is there a filler? Also, I believe the only thing missing on the TL is a power tilt for the steering wheel and lumbar support for the passenger seat.

its ok, depending on how you sit, it will be comfortable..

but honestly moving from a RL to a TL, the armrest, powertilt, and lumbar is the last thing you should be considering when moving up.. the TL is a blast.

I've noticed too that the TL is very spacious. I came from a 2000 Nissan Altima, and I'm not a large man (5'8" 155lbs) but I find that my elbow cannot naturally rest on the TL armrest because it's too far to the right. In fact the room between the driver door and the armrest is significantly larger than my Altima, it's taking a little bit of getting used to. I feel small in the TL.

It really depends on your size and the seat position I would guess. I'm 5'11 and am very comfortable resting my elbow on the console arm rest. That being said, there is a permanent indentation there now.

I like the armrest in the TL. The slide out drawer is usually where I keep my key fob, so its closed most of the time for me. Sometimes its comfortable to slide it out and rest my elbow on it. Probably not good for long rides tho.

I previously owned an 06 RL and now have a 2012 TL - and I can say without a doubt that the arm rest on the RL was MUCH better. There was no handbrake in the center on the RL (it's on the floor), so the RL's arm rest was much wider than the one on the TL. I used to rest my whole forearm on the one in the RL when I was driving - can't do that with the TL. It's too far off to the right and far shorter than the one in the RL.

That being said, the TL has one thing that the RL didn't have that's vastly more important to me... a 6 speed manual.
