2012 Acura TL trunk/cargo light

Hi All

My trunk light is gone and I can't figure out whats wrong with it. I have already checked all possible fuses and according to manual there seems no switch anymore as my old TL had. Anyone have any ideas suggestions would be really appriciated!

Mark

I actually just resolved a problem. While putting the factory bulb back I pulled out entire light fixture. I noticed that the plastic fixture have little resistor between the feed. So I used little wire to by pass the resistor and voila light is working again.

I think the resistor is the to lower the power consumption because the light is on all the the time (newer models don't have trunk switch anymore). So am thinking that just having my led there is enough since it uses less power than original one anyway and I don't need to replace the resistor.

What led bulb size did you get and where did you get it from?

Light stays on?? That sounds a little strange. Have you had a friend close the trunk with you in there to check?

Or you can just check by looking through the rear seat pass-thru.

I like the friend in the trunk idea better.

That doesn't sound right, that would kill the battery if you let the car sit for to long.

My trunk light died and changing to a new bulb didn't do anything. I took it the dealer and they couldn't diagnose why. They will change driver side fuse box panel as to see if that will fix the problem. Hope that'll fix it.

Yeah..I don't think so. If your light is staying on with the trunk lid closed, something is wrong. Mine turns off when the lid closes, like a refrigerator door.
