so what do you think keith?
I'm goin in for the test drive when it comes out, I just can't help but think the 5th gen will completely blow this away. I'm also afraid getting SHAWD back, and getting ventilated seats won't keep me satisfied long enough to trade up again when the 5th gen comes out lol

Damn... 46k.. that edges up there a bit too much into the range of some better cars. I have no intention of getting rid of my 4G, plan on keeping it for a long while, but If the 5G comes out and we're looking at 50k or so... I would hope we see some pretty major changes to the powertrain for that price.

If these features don't appeal to you then you would most likely be satisfied with the Tech or base which only have a $300 increase over last years pricing.
If they were to put the MRF suspension, CMBS and ACC into this car it would have raised the price another $3000-4000 bringing it up to the $49K-50K mark.
10-4... Lost a little between the 08 to the 09 but lowered my car payment from 09 to 10 and lost 22k of miles in the process... I got the 10 in May of last year and believe it or not this May I will be in the same boat as I was last year on payoff with a little less miles... The 2.9% to .9% plus incentives from 09 to 10 was a big help along with the equity I had build up from 09 to 10 model...

That said my dealer is supposedly getting a silve/black AWD Advance for me, when it comes in I will look it over and drive it, if we can come to terms on my M37S trade I will do it, otherwise I'll drive the M37S for another 6-12.
Acura announced pricing Wednesday on its redesigned 2012 TL, an important player in the mid-size sporty sedan market. Acura said the starting price on the TL will be $39,490, the same as the outgoing model. Equipped with the optional Technology package, which adds navigation and voice recognition as well as a 440-watt premium audio system, the MSRP is $42,990.
For those wanting AWD, the TL SH-AWD will have an MSRP of $43,490. And those checking off AWD and the tech option package will shell out $46,990 with the choice of either a 6-speed automatic or 6-speed manual transmission at no extra cost. The automatic is offers a sequential sportshift function and uses a new multi-clutch torque converter for snappier shifts. It includes rev-matching downshifts and a double kickdown feature for passing.
A new Elite Package, which offers ventilated front seats, 19x8-inch split 5-spoke aluminum wheels, and a new blind-spot information system, will have an MSRP of $48,990.
Horsepower, delivered through the front wheels in non-awd versions, remains unchanged at 280. AWD versions come with 305 horsepower.
The car will hit showrooms March 18.
So how much do u thing for a 2010 TL AWD Tech with 18k miles is worth. KB say fair is but $31,345 but i think lower. Does $28000-29500 seem too low. I looked at the car its front seats has minor push-ins, its also de-badged, the detail job is not that great looks like they just vacuumed it i could find a few more things about it. And also this the dealer is were I got my TSX. They striped my drain plug on the oil pan of my car that happened on a Saturday night is when the oil came out so i was car-less for 36hrs. Do you think if i mentioned they would give me a deal on the TL?

Since I flip evey 1-2 years I would be getting a 5G anyway, the only 2 things that annoy me on the 12 are, the damn color choices, the Silver has a big blue tint to it in anything other than bright sunlight and the other colors are too damn dar (although Mayan Bronze is looking nice) and I am disappointed the Advance is a $2200 hit for basically vented seats and BSW, they shodul have at least added laser cruise control or rain sensing wipers, eveything in this class is gaining these features. G37 Tech has Laser Cruise, vented seats and rain sensing wipers, Genesis beleive addes BSW or laser cruise for 12, already has vented seats and rain sensing wipers.

In one of the reviews I read they were saying that the Advance will come with Goodyear Eagle RSA's on the 19s... If this is the case I don't think I would want to spring for the package just because of that... The tires are rated very low on tirerack.
My local dealer just emailed me to tell me that they are taking deposits on the the '12's coming in, due to high demand and low quantity.. I laughed, of course. It's not like this is a one of a kind thing.
I hope come December they have the intrest rate and all the incentives including hold back to lower the price once again... That will be the only way I even consider this move...

Don't get me wrong, I like Acura and their products I just have some strong opinions about how they address certain issues, in this instance the MMC.
With that said if I hadn't purchased my '09 4G when I did and was in the market I would be happy with purchasing a 4.5G TL SH-AWD. And at the same time I could respect the way the 4G owners feel about their purchase. They choose the product based upon what was available and make an exquisite choice...IMO of course
$$$$$$$$$$$$
He is just being a CAR SALESMAN, we have all heard this line before... With 2010 and 11's on the lot , the incentives will be very few to sell the 2012 at reduced price. Will the first run of 2012 be the AWD-Tech+ Added Value Pkg with Every Option? What Colors exterior and interior,, Few on the lot, well,, That = Top $$$... Come On!! We would not want to deny those great sales people a LARGE commission based on some backward style changes, and a big rush from those vocal 3G owners we hear from so often would we?? Time for those 3G hold outs to pay Top Dollar to get what thye want, finally.. AS I said 3 months ago, watch what you ask for, you may just get it, at a inflated price.

I don't expect any price reduction for a few months. I may choose to wait or not. It's my $$ to spend as I like. If I pay more now, so be it. I would think many that bought the '11 before year end paid more than they cost now...
I may do it just to show off with it.... but I sure won't come on here crying about spending more but will post pics of it as I start modding it.

Let's not forget Acura has the ability to make plenty of TL's. I will be offering the dealers a reasonble amount over invoice. I plan to specify exactly what I want, the price I will pay and let them know I will be buying the car from the first dealer accepting my out the door price. If it takes 2 months or more it is not a problem. I buy and drive my cars for 8-12 years. It is time for a new one and I will be patient.
^ well said KES
I was told that no incentives will be available on these for a few months... but that is speculation by the salesman. If they want to make the sale, they will deal, if not, they lose out.
