I bought a 2010 TL 2 months ago. And within a couple of weeks, I noticed the car generates a ticking/clicking sound from the passenger side when driving on local road and with a passenger seated in the front seat. The sound is similar to the one generated by turn signal or a louder version of click of computer mouse.

I sent the car to acura dealer to check it up and they identified, after 3 days, that the ticking noise is from the right front seat-track tolerance and told me that the noise in my car is NORMAL compared to other 2010 TL. I really don't know how someone could spend 3 days to identify the source of the annoying noise and then call it normal?!

Since the dealer thinks this noise happens to all 2010 TLs, they will arrange me to meet a manufacture representative this week. I will see what options they can offer. It is definitely unacceptable for me to live with this irritating noise.

Wonder if other 2010 TL owners have noticed the same problem.

I don't hear rattles or ticking in my 2009. Now when the sunroof was open before I installed my wind deflector I got a little rattle.

Thanks, shawd10. It's not engine ticking. The ticking in my case seems to come from the area of door sill moulding on the passenger side and it only happens when someone sits on the passenger seat during the ride. I don't hear the noise when I drive the car alone.

Dealer told me it's from the right front seat-track and they test drived other 2010 TLs on their lot and all seemed to have the same ticking noise.

maybe there is no tsb for it yet, but there will be one soon and then dealers will start fixing the problem

I think I have heard something like this intermittently from my drivers side - but not sure.

I have not heard anything coming from the passenger side interior of my 2010.
