2010 TL now updated at Acura.com
Looks like the 6MT is the only major addition and a new FWD 18 in factory wheel package. Good idea, helps to make it more appealing and cheaper to do so. No evidence of a grill change at all, all photos, videos and virtual showroom, the same. Pricing is the same, as far as I can tell and no premium for the 6MT and lets not allow the dealers to hit us for extra on the 6MT since all the other brands pay less for a manual transmission. Makes no sense to pay, even to charge, extra for the 6MT. Availability may be less but they won't be scarce since there is only 4 color options to build.

Not just 4 color options, but only 4 interior/exterior combinations.
CBP/Black
Palladium/Black
WDP/Taupe
Mayan Bronze/Umber
Is the "Sport Grille" accessory new or has that been available?

Ya that's exactly what I ment, and a dark grill option for the front and back. Has to be new. Something is better than nothing, nice find.

I don't really think the "sport grille" looks like it'd be worth any extra cash, but very personal preference. I would imagine it's still difficult to keep clean. It appears it's a metallic gray color similar to the 18" wheels.

It would be nice if they gave you more interior options. Having only one interior color available for each color bites. (when looking at the 10 types 6 speed tech package and hpt)

I know to the rich crowd this may seem like herasy, but just because these vehicles come with a pre-determined interior color doesn't mean you couldn't find somebody to trade with in the future. Swapping out interior parts that have the distinct colors on it would be easy for the Mayan Bronze and about the only color that you'd have to do an entire color swap-out would be the WDP. Taking out seats and door panels (and maybe the U shaped center console piece?) is very easy if you've ever done it before.
Aren't we missing the point though? The 6 speed is here! I can't wait for some interior pictures of it, especially the underside of the engine bay (fat chance!)

It's just the stock grill in an anthracite.

so no brembo brakes on the 6mt? and like the 3G type S, only with nav/tech package? that sucks. I have no desire to pay for the tech package and damn if I want to pay 3-4K for something I don't want just to get a 6mt. this is a bummer for me............ oh well I guess............................

I'll miss RBP as a color option, but since its a bitch to keep clean/scratch free I kinda wish i waited for '10 not to be tempted ![Frown](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
the "sports grille" seems kinda pointless in the shots on the site, but i'll wait to see real photos on release

2010 TL AWD 6MT: New King
I am looking forward to test driving the 6spd. Is it as good as the reviews have it? Any updated news when it arrives at the dealers? Are we still hearing this coming September-ish?
Out of curiosity, how much do guys plan on paying for the 6spd TL? Realizing it would be driven by supply and demand... IF there is good demand, and IF there is a low supply as Acura maintains, probably not much off MSRP.
IF there is limited general public demand (which I imagine is quite the opposite to that of enthusiast forums such as here on AZ), I would think there would be negotiating room.
So hypothetical question, IF the stealership would offer ONLY FULL MSRP as the selling price for the car, would you take it? Given our weak economy, the deals the competition are running, I don't know if I could (at least not without test driving the car
).

Wow. I just went to the Acura website and built a 2010 TL SH-AWD 6-Speed with HPT and it came out to be $48,223. For that price, I'd rather get an 09 BMW 335i coupe turbo...Pricing is ridiculous imo for the TL 6-speed..

I doubt we'll see any of the standard 17" on FWD models with the introduction of the 18" as an option on car lots. I would like to see the sport grill and lip as it does darken up quite a bit. I though it looked pretty good WDP and PM colors.

I haven't done the build in some time, but I thought an equally/comparably equipped 335 was in the low/mid $50's. ??

Not to mention the dealer will sell it at that price too! I tried haggle may way on a 335 before I got the 4G TL and was only able to take $500 off the MSRP....

I mean, not a BIG deal, but it kinda feels like Acura screwed us a tad. And it was lazy... How about special rims or different 18s for the FWD as an option? Or, god forbid, how about some decent 17s for the FWD models? The standard ones are just flat out ugly and on humongous, over-inflated, cushy tires.
But for Acura, it's an excellent chance to snatch up an extra $1000 on each deal.

On Saturday I drove to/from Philly airport and saw 4 4th gens - 3 FWD Tech and 1 SH-AWD Tech. I've seen two others this week going to/from work, 1 SH-AWD Tech and a FWD Tech.
I like to have a touch of uniqueness, and while the TL isn't as common as a Civic, it's still pretty popular. I don't buy the "doom and gloom" for TL sales over the grill at all.

It's an interesting addition but a tad irritating. For `09 owners it sucks because it sort of dilutes the value both financially and aesthetically of those that bought SH-AWD models with the same 18s. I liked the idea that my car was differentiated from the FWD models. Now the only thing different is the SH-AWD emblem and the interior touches (that you can't see from the outside) that the FWD model doesn't get.
The turn signals and silver fog lights are pretty obvious to me, but I agree with you per the post I was writing while you posted yours. There's no doubt I'll end up picking up some 20s for the summer later on.

Guess I missed the real question, if it was MSRP only and that's it no if's, and's or but's about it, I think I would. It's still a great value from the start and tens of thousands less than any other equally equipped premium mid sized. No mid outside of the V8's or German high end sport model, is really any faster or sportier, particularly in AWD.

I am glad Acura is offering the 18" wheel package. This was one of my concerns if I buy or lease a TL is the cost of an all new wheel/tire package. The 17's look like dog crap to me. This will save money and effort.
The sport beak will be interesting to see - especially on the black, grigio or polished metal. At least they seem to be making an effort to address customer (or potential customer) complaints.

The availability of the accessory grill and the back trunk trim only shows that Acura is concerned about the offensive look. I can only hope that mid cycle refresh will bring a different grill.

Back to the accessory grill and rear insert. They list the price as $329 and $89 if I recall correctly. Does anyone know if that is an outright buy price, or is that an exchange price for the stock pieces?

So basically you are trying to highball the TL's price while lowballing the 335 price - it does not work this way if you want to compare apple to apple.
BTW 335xi coupe does not even give you 19" wheel option - standard is lame 17 while 18's are an option unlike TL standard 18"/19" - depending on trim and the Diamond Cut 19" are an options.
Also, the comparable price for 335ix is about $55k, unless you want a striper without anything except a sport package, than yes, the MSRP is about $48k, but add a premium package, navi and few other options that are standard on TL and we are back to $55k+
#34
Now I do lament not having a 18" wheel option but not sure if I'd be willing to pay nearly $3K difference (09 incentive + upgrade) though. I'm kind of getting used to the 17" and the extra side wall is nice to have driving through the city.

CleanCL, the car pictured is Grigio but that is not offered with the stick. Bearcat posted all 4 stick shift color combos in post #2 and both Polished Metal and Grigio are not included.

I agree. I just think that dealers will go with what would be more attractive to the buyer and the 17s are nasty. I expect to see more FWDs with 18s and the grille/lip upgrade. I am a little upset that they chose the lazy route; but, at least we still have quad exhaust.
So there are small visual cues that a trained eye would pick up on.
