You are a tasteless hack who goes around stroking everyone in some sad method of seeking acceptance. Sadly, you have no real experience with automobiles other than to lease one.

 

Drilled/slotted rotors have a function besides looking like a fake BMW.

The reason I have slotted rotors is because it was time to get new pads and it was more cost effective to get the rotors and pads done at the same time by the guy that I have do this stuff.

Since I do 85%+ of my driving in a heavily urban environment, I figured that it was safer to have slotted rotors because they will self-remove the water if I go through a puddle (as a side note, this was my first car with "open" rims and the water on the brakes was much more evident than any of the other 7 cars that I have had). When I was buying the brakes, the place I bought them from had the same price for drilled/slotted as slotted only, so I figured that having drilled rotors wouldn't hurt if I ever had to slam my brakes on to avoid getting into an accident or hitting a pedestrian/bicyclist.

Plus, as an added bonus, when I sell my car in a few years, 4Gs will be heavily into the ricing product stage, so I figured that (functional benefit aside) it would be a good selling point to some teenager from the projects that would more than pay for itself.

Bottom line, this isn't a mod that one really gains anything from. As far as I know BMW introduced these to the market. Just because you can get a kit for your Hyundai doesn't mean that it is worth the $$$ or effort. Perhaps a few of you have lost touch with the main reason to mod the car in the first place. TO MAKE IT STOP AND GO FASTER, CORNER BETTER and out perform the other guy.

If your goal is too look cooler, you have missed the point.

AE's replace DRL's so they do serve a purpose.

Performance reasons being the only reason to mod a car? We are talking about semi-luxurious four door family sedans from Honda. In case you need reminded.

yah i guess they aren't for everyone, i happen to love them. they add a lot of style up front and the rings themselves are not "small"...they fill out the projector housing perfectly.

This forum is all everyone, including those who don't even drive an Acura, or those who once have an Acura but moved on to other brands. Even some of our active forum modulators don't drive Acura any more.

This forum provides valuable information on problems, fixes, improvements, news, as well as modding advices, to both STOCK and MODDED vehicle owners.

The guy that started the forum. the first question in this thread ask 'where do i get some halos'. all i'm saying is shut up with your opinion and provides some information instead of wasting someones search time and saying stuff off topic. when i search for halos now, I get to read comments about people saying 'I think your car looks like dookie with that mod'.

It have everything to do with halo sizing, gotta make sure that the halos are the right size after all! Why do you think the BMW halos are so small? Hahahaha

There is a signifigant size difference between the two as well as the fact that the BMW has four halos.

I completely agree. That's why I went out of my way to go with the absolute biggest halo that would fit.

Those above in the 4G are probably 70 or 80mm. Those BMWs look more like 120.

I also happen to like it when the top and or bottom get cut off a bit like the BMW. I installed mine that way. Well, the bigger rings wouldn't have fit had I not modded them in that way.
