2010 TL 6-6: Rear spring removal?

Hey all, just got the H&R springs and was wondering if anyone knows how to remove the rear springs? I don't really want to start tearing up the trunk if that is not the way. I have installed suspensions before on older honda/acuras, but I'm new to the new.

If anyone has a diagram, that would work too. Thanks for any help!!

the garages around my area are charging $250-400 for removal and install for all four! I was like BS!

If anyone can provide the diagram or manual for the rear, I can do a DIY on this, as I have done this many times, just need the rear before I start it. Thanks!

I know its not much but if you check this thread on a FWD he talks about removing the back seats.

I'll check into that, thats one of the things I noticed is that the rear suspension seems to be near the rear deck

^^ Yup. You've gotta remove the rear seats to get the springs installed. Mine was for AWD. Didn't even bother to install them myself, it wasn't worth it to kill a day installing them when I could be working instead.

FYI- you should just take the seats out, and then bring it a shop. they will charge alot less labor if they dont have to figure out the seats (because every car is slightly different)

2 Clips, 4 Bolts. Seats come right out

Also, as a rule of thumb, mechanics have dirty hands. you dont want them touching your interior, unless you know them and they are going to take special care/attention not to get greasy, dirty handprints all over your rear deck and c-pillar

thanks for the info guys! I will do this tomorrow, but I don't think I will bring this to a mechanic. I was quoted over $250 for them to do it.

$250 for install, isnt that bad... as long as it includes alignment/camber/toe adjustment
