I think it's only a body kit and updated wheels... didn't seem to me that the A-Spec was anything like the 3G A-Spec which had an updated suspension.... Seems pricey for what you could get everything for without the badge.

There is no A-Spec TL in the USA for 2010, so most of us will be both excited by your news and scandalised by the price. :-)

Our TL appear to cost quite a bit less than yours, so 55,000$ just seems like way too much for us. But we're talking US dollars paid for cars built in the US.

In the USA, if you produced an A-Spec car out of the parts available in the accessories catalogue, you would end up with a sticker price of $45,782 including destination charges.

Including taxes and PDI/freight? That's not bad for up here with the A-Spec.

As I understand it, the A-Spec package will add around $4500 to the SH-AWD/Tech. Which means that before taxes and PDI/freight, the car is selling for ~ $46K, which is less than CDN MSRP for just the SH-AWD Tech.

I suspect that price is before taxes.

What a rip-off though... they're just adding in accessories and rebadging it... Is there something else to this "A-Spec" version that has any added performance or suspension related change?

Nope...just the HPT & wheels, bodykit and some trim. I guess that Acura Canada has a bunch of TLs to move up here and thought that adding accessories already available in the US, calling it an A-Spec and jacking the price was the best way of doing that.

The $55000 includes taxes, PDI/Freight also the $3500 cash incentive, I am still negotiating he doesn't want to go lower.
The A-Spec comes from the factory with only the 19" SOT wheel then the dealer will install the bodykit, A-Spec badging, midnight dark chrome grill along with the back strip and the carpet and seats with A-Spec stitching.

I will put in the Takeda intake.

Damn... still like 62k is pretty good for a new loaded M3... must be a buyers market out there. My dream car is still the e92 M3, I love the big meaty V8 in that ride.... Probably much more reliable than when they load up on all that boost in the 335...

I wasn't aware that there was special A-Spec stitching as well....you sure about that? A-Spec is typically a dealer installed kit, I'd doubt that there is special seat, carpet stitching, etc...

Regardless, $55K all in with the A-Spec package is a pretty good deal for up here. I'd go for it.

what is the msrp on the tl a spec? what are you paying before taxes and freight etc?

theres no a spec on car cost canada, but the other tl's have about 4-5K in dealer markup, what cost did you use to negotiate?

what city are you in?

I was at the Calgary new car show this weekend and they had a black A-Spec there. The display showed that the A-Spec package installed was $2800 plus taxes.

Hopefully this will help you with any negotiating in case the salesman was trying to show you more gross on the A-spec package. You guys sure do get screwed with that extra PST. The price your paying is almost the same here in Alberta with tax in at MSRP. I dont believe we have any rebates right now, unlike at Christmas when they where giving $5000 off desperately trying to move them.

Really? That seems low...parts for the bodykit is $1540 CAD, I'm sure that the midnight trim is $500 - $600...which means that the HPT/wheel upgrade would only be $500 - $600? That doesn't sound like Acura Canada pricing...

I thought that I read that the A-Spec package was $4500 CAD extra...?

I also want a V8 german coupe.. i just hope they still exist (and aren't insanely priced) when i'm able to buy one for my next car. (although i'd GLADLY settle for an acura or lexus coupe that does 0-60 in 5 seconds)

The only three (new) i can think of are the..

Audi S5 coupe just over 60k fully loaded

BMW M3 (the 80k starting price of the 6 series makes it unreasonably priced imo) just under 70k fully loaded

Mercedes Benz E550 coupe about 65k fully loaded

Ok back on topic. Any idea how much it would cost to just get the front lip spoiler and have it installed? I might get that and the back up sensors installed at the same time.

Old thread but decided to revive it

Whoever bought the A-Spec back in 2010 now will have an advantage over the others when they want to sell their TL.

People always ask me that my TL looks different

In Quebec, I have seen no more than 10 A Specs.

Plus HPT on 19" rims in gunmetal color. I still have my 2010 A SPEC 6MT.. Iv'e only seen a couple of the A SPEC cars on the road, never mind having a Manual transmission in one! I've only put on 67,000 Kms in the 5 years I've owned it since new..

Correct. forgot about the HPT.

I have the automatic transmission. 5 years old, 73,000 KM. I have seen 2 other A-Specs in Montreal area so far.
