The list surprises me, because I don't believe the 3 or the IS are mid-size at all.

Yeah I agree with you on that. I think they are going more by price point and calling it "mid size" The TL should be compared more with the 5 series, A6, GS and M35 but since all these are in the high 40's to mid 50K range they don't lump it with the TL. Its a shame that they don't see the overall value of the TL.

I didn't do the math, but if that 6.2 is a 7.5 or 8 or even higher, I wonder how that would affect the overall standings. Afterall, exterior is in the eyes of the beholder! Unless they mean exterior fit of the parts or the quality of the paint job.

"Exterior" should be left out in surveys. What you find exotic I may find POS.

I read that a while back and my reflexion ended when I considered that if the TL exterior is fine or great by my standards, then the rating would likely go up to 9.0-9.5.

Lol at 3 series and IS being midsize. LOL at putting a 3 series in the 25-40k category. Make a real 3 series with a couple of option packages and you'll see the price skyrocket.

Fun stuff to read though so enjoy!

That's why you see constant debates and endless discussions on car forums because the automotive media can't even get it right and the general public is then misinformed.

Hey, still the new MT SH-AWD Tech ranks high in almost everything. And big kudos to the manual transmission. I saw a white one yesterday, when I was at the dealership for an oil change.

Has anyone noticed how TL grille is photoshopped on that picture? I've seem that being done on many Acura ads. It makes it look like the TSX front end or IMO what the TL shou've looked like.

Yeah it does look like the TSX. That is how the TLs should look IMHO.
