The remote key is not in the slot but the car thinks it is. As a result it beeps when I leave the car and will not let me lock it. My wife did put the key in the slot backwards (then removed it) and might have broke something that I cannot feel. Any idea on what it costs to fix this as I am not under warranty.

There was a thread posted quite a while back on an Acura bulletin instructing how to fix this problem.
