I recently did a brake job and replaced the front with Akebono ACT1102 ProACT Ultra-Premium Ceramic Brake Pads, great reviews and quality. So far very happy with them.

If you are looking for a brake package that can perform in hot or cold conditions and provide great braking performance, look no further than our Stoptech packages. They feature pads and rotors for all four corners. Our premium package starts at $299.99 with Street Performance pads and high quality sport rotors with a black e-coating.

I would go for some kind of premium rotor and pads for a TL. I have stoptech slotted pads and the pads that match can't really remember which ones they are. But never cheap out on brakes because they can start squealing or screeching after awhile.

Akebono's are my favorite, however, I've used several sets of Brake Motive pad/rotors recently and been highly impressed. It's most likely what I'll use on my TL next.

I highly recommend Wagner ThermoQuiet ceramic (not semi-metallic). I've used them for years. Good performance and no problems or noise. They have built in shims. My mechanic friends used them exclusively; very little (if any) warranty work. Little noticeable dust and what little dust there is washes off very easily.

Akebono ACT1102/1103 ProACT Ultra-Premium Ceramic Brake Pads and they are excellent.

Great stopping, no fading, and little to no dust.

This video shows the replacement process.

I just installed these, and they are pretty great. The Posiquiet pads have a ton of initial bite. Now I don't get to slam the brakes as much!
