2009 TL 3.5 Good price? and After market rims?
What do guys think?
Good or bad?
Acura up-grade rim/tire or after-market?
Just pruchased an 2009 TL 3.5 FWD(Black)...have one kid and another one on the way...so didn't make sense getting the other models.
Canadian Dollars
Price 40,000 CAD$
Discount -5,000
Total 35,0000 (before taxes and other fees)
Plus I'm considering purchasing 19' Acura black/silver rim/tire package.

Price $3,000 (plus I keep the 17 OEM rim/tire for winter and locking wheel nuts)
Are these rim/tire package worth $3,000($750 per wheel)
Are after markets any better than these ones....will the tire sensor be effected?
Thanks,
Yas (Toronto)

When the FEW came out I considered the weheel upgrade, then realized by the time I did the Acura Wheel and Tire upgrade I would be within $1K of the AWD and it is such a better car and its stock wheel look great.
I'm assuming you did a cash purchase? Since there's a 3000 dollar cash incentive right now (assuming you did pay cash), you got 2000 off msrp. I am looking to get the TL SH-AWD, but I'm looking to take advantage of the low finance rates this month. When I manage to get rid of my current car, I will aim for closer to 3000 off msrp.
Personally, I'd look aftermarket for wheels. You can get some awesome (high quality, forged and/or multi-piece) wheels for that price and some very good wheels for less.
So for the same or less $$, you can get just as good in terms of quality and get a better selection. OE Wheels, like many other dealer items, are somewhat over-priced (or at least higher-priced) compared to comparable aftermarket items.
BTW - TPMS can be added to just about any wheel. Some designs may require an adapter or strap; others will fit same as the OE Wheels via the valve stem. Recognition by the TPMS system is automatic if you swap and/or rotate your wheels.

Go to a dealer to look at those rims you have posted, there not that complimentary to the body style! The 19" rims on CRXB's are nice, and the 18" 5-spoke alloy's are cool, but non Acura rims really make a statement about you and your ride, especially if it's done tastefully.
