I would have been pleased to see such a message come down from Colliver or Mendel in the IN, instead they posted this from Autospies:

http://www.autospies.com/news/Who-to...l-alive-39733/

IMO this kind of communication needs to get to the front line.

I know, but Acura provides an internal network called (drum roll) the Interactive Network. On IN, they posted a link to the Autospies article. I would love to see better communication coming down these pipes. Should I really be reading about something that Mendel or Colliver said from a link in VTEC to a story in Wards?

I always squeeze as much as I can from our factory reps. They are usually pretty open, so I don't think the problem is that Acura doesn't want to share the information, but I just think they don't see them importance of it.

Who is your rep anyway? (send in PM) We lost our rep last year and I was pretty close with him. Our new guy is a bit more ..... um different. When I was in the audio business (many years ago) we used to call them Rep-tiles.

I'm not terribly surprised.

Honda has a reputation for "playing extremely close to the vest" with their product plans -- even within their dealer network.

By linking to the AutoSpies article, they signal their intentions through a 'leak' without acknowledging officially through their corporate Communications channel.
